NEW YORK - Margaret Johnson's wheelchair might have made her look like an easy target. But when a mugger tried to grab a chain off her neck Friday, the 56-year-old pulled out her licensed .357 pistol and shot him, police said.
Easy target?????????? |

Oh I love little old ladies that carry a gun. And a .357 at that. damn we need more little old ladies that stand up for themselves.
To the doubter (he knows who he is) this is but one of 1.5 to 2.5 million cases that have been saved by the use of a legal handgun in self defense. |

| I have seen this before. The crazy bleeding heart anti-gunners will say this man did not deserve to be shot for simple theft. Yes they are right. Simple theft does not require a response of deadly force, but here is where they are wrong. For that split second where you are being attacked, the anti-gun nuts want yout to TRUST your attacker. They want you to TRUST that your attacker is not going to hurt you. That is crazy. |

agreed to a popint as well. I am not going to trust the attacker on anything. If needed this dirt bag would be history. The bozos that want us to trust and give up guns are the same idiots that want us to be the types that just roll over and say less resistance less hurt. Bull****. The lady did good, because she has no idea that he will not hurt her to begin with.
In the good old america...it is the only place where you can piss grandma off and get your happy ass shot. Need more grandmas like this. The fact that she had a .357 is the part i just love.  |

Quote: "There's not much to it," she said in a brief interview. "Somebody tried to mug me, and I shot him."
Yup. That pretty much sums it up.

| Wow, this is the first incident in a while, that I haven't seen the anti-gunners criticize the shooter. I guess it's hard to criticize a grandma in a wheelchair with a gun.... |

Who says we should give Stephen Hawking a fully automatic AK-47. Yes I know it is illegal, but hey, everybody loves Stephen Hawking.
Let me put this into mathematical terms.

Quote: Margaret Johnson, who lives in Harlem, has a permit for the weapon and does not face charges, Grimpel said. She also was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later released.
Looks to me like New York's permitting system didn't prevent her, a law abiding citizen, from getting a gun. However, the criminal did not have one...
How about that? :-D

Just think, if everyone was absolutely scared sh*tless to commit any crime for fear of being shot, we could have a brilliant society, absolutely crime free.
More guns = less crime yea?.
So, it stands to reason that if the penalty for driving too fast was being shot, NOT MANY PEOPLE WOULD DO IT yea? Wow! What a flawless system of justice. If we shoot our thieves, they'd think twice before stealing. Whats the problem? Most of the gun-nuts on here love to see criminals dead yea?
Then all the government has to do is make protesting against them into a crime, limit free speech, and hey presto, the gun crowd have made tyranny the easiest thing ever.
But no, just like the militias, there are 'good criminals' (who hate the politicians and are prepared for armed resistance against gun control) and 'bad criminals' (who are broke and want to steal $20 to buy some whisky).
Bad criminals should be shot dead yea? Good criminals - well - Viva la revolution! Well thought through that one ... |
