The front page headline of the September 8, 2006 USA Today read:
"Killer cancer genes ID'd - Achilles heel of tumors discovered."
The gist of the article was that scientists have identified the bulk of the genes that cause breast and colorectal cancers, a finding that could lead to new ways to diagnose and treat two of the leading cancer killers by enabling treating physicians to particularize treatment programs to the specific needs of individual patients.
Might this finding prove to be the most important medical discovery of the first 1/4 of the 21st. Century?

Chances are that if an actual cure was or is found for these things the chances of it actually getting to the general public is slim.
I say that because the medical companies that make chemotherapy drugs would lose money,
If it could lead to cures by all means but although I am not a pessimist on medical cures I am worried that the cures or successful treatments will not get to us out here.
They would only be given to the elite and very powerful. :-| |

Cures, at an price no one can afford, but we got "helpers" that you may afford.
Just like the whole anti smoking BS, who's making the money? |
