Your example is stupid and absurd.

The majority of Americans do not believe the government lie about 9/11.. Numbers range from 52% (Zogby) to 57% (on our poll on PCF). You juxtapose this w/ "98% of all Americans might believe that Bush is a robot controlled by Castro".

That's stupid and it's absurd.

And it's completely offtopic as well. It is not offtopic as it was a hypothetical example to demonstrate the point that public opinion polls are not indicators of fact. Just because people believe something to be true does not, inherently, make it true.
Public opinion polls are indicators of public opinion.

Your point (originally) is about "conspiracy" theories, but my point is that what you believe has been relagated to a "conspiracy" theory that is believed by the minority of Americans. The majority of Americans believe the government story about 9/11 is a fraud.

Show me how you concluded that the majority of Americans believe that 9/11 was a cover-up.

See the sticky poll in this forum (only 43% believe the government lie about 9/11) and see the Zogby poll that says 52% of all Americans either (a) believe that 9/11 Commission was a coverup; or (b) are not sure if it was a coverup.

Except for the fact Psholtz is lying out his arse. The 52% includes 10% who aren't sure which to believe. He conveniently adds them in to the people who think there is a coverup and then conveniently ignores the fact that a coverup doesn't mean the government is complicit in the attack. In other words, he is just playing with the numbers and not doing a very convincing job of it. Sorry Shotzy. You don't get to pretend to know what those 10% think. ;-)

Yes, the number of Americans who believe the government lie about 9/11 is <50% .. they are now a minority.

This is why you are seeing MSM like Time and Washington Post finally being forced to acknowledge 9/11 Truth, and why NIST has been forced to investigate the collapse of WTC7 for the possibility that explosives may have been used (why, I don't know, since we have Larry Silverstein on tape admitting that he blew up WTC7, but if NIST wants to ignore this confession and just do a scientific investigation of their own, they are more than welcome to).

Once again you are wrong. There are three groups. Of the three, the group that believes there is no coverup is the largest. s*cks to be you! ;-)

As for your moronic assertion Silverstein admitted to blowing up WTC 7, I guess you like flaunting your delusions.

Here is Psholtz's theory:

Silverstein, in a fit of guilt, admits to the world that he blew WTC 7, but unwilling to admit to his own complicity, blames it on the fire department.

Think your psychobable about what you THINK was going on in Silverstein's head would hold up in court? Mebbe the kangaroo court you and Robodoon want to create to lynch people, but not in any civilized court. You lose again.

The group that believes there was no coverup now represents the minority American view.. :-D

This is why MSM outlets like Time and Washington Post are being forced to acknowledge the 9/11 Truth Movement, something they would never have done even one short year ago.

Must be the Psholtz rewrite of the English language. In the English language the rest of us know, the minority is the group that believes there is a coverup. That group is 42% vs. 48% who believe there is no coverup. No matter how you look at it, 48% is greater than 42% and thus cannot be in the minority.

I don't know what you wish to prove by pushing this obvious lie other than you are mentally unstable.

Minority means <50%

Minority only means <50% when you have two groups. Geeze. Are you seriously so dumb that you don't know this or are you just acting dumb for some strange reason?

Here. Maybe this will help clear the cobwebs in that unused cavity between your ears.

If you have three groups divided up by 35%, 33% and 32%, who is in the majority? Here is a hint. You're not allowed to add two groups together to make them larger.

The word you're looking for is "plurality"..

 Plurality is also known as a relative majority. Either way, the majority is not the minority even if it is the relative majority. The only way the majority can be the minority is to combine the other groups together. Since you cannot in all honesty claim to know how the 10% truly feel, you can't combine the two groups. Well, I take that back. You have, but only because you lack the honesty and integrity to tell the truth.

Let me put it to you this way, how would you feel if I claimed that the conspiracy theorists were in the minority because they only have 42% vs. the 58% who feel otherwise? ;-) Exactly. You would claim it is a dishonest use of the 10% who aren't sure.

Come on Psholtz. You've already proven numerous times today that you are dishonest, a liar and don't know what you're talking about. First rule you should obey when finding yourself in a hole is..... QUIT DIGGING! ;-)

That's what you're talking about..

You're talking about a relative majority which in absolute terms is a minority.

Wrong again. Keep digging!

So are you going to admit that the people who think there IS a coverup is an even smaller absolute minority? And the people who actually believe what you believe? Hmmm...... what is smaller than the smallest minority? ;-)

As Chomsky points out, in democracies, you don't need to assassinate critics. You just have to make sure that the intellectual environment is such that these critics get ignored.

polls are not always correct. Depending on how the question was conducted, the pollster can manipulate the respondents answers. See what happen if you ask those 42% more specific questions and I'm willing to bet, they can't answer......
