| I will probably only mary one woman, but I think that other people have a right to do whatever they want. Government, i feel is not justified to stop them. |

Personally I believe that there is one special lady out there for me(lucky girl  ), more over I believe that a monogamous and comitted realtionship between a man and a woman is the best social structure to raise children in.
But I also believe in people's rights to do stupid things, so if orthodox Mormons, Muslims, or free-love types want to marry more then one person then I say let em. |

One wife was too many, why would I want several
Seriously, so long as it is a free choice between the individuals than they should be allowed to marry so long as it is of legal age. |

Government has no place to disrupt marriage, or the bedroom. (So long as it's between consenting adults.) |

No, it makes for unstable societies. Look at the Middle east, where rich men can have 30-40 wives. Look at some of the rural communities in Utah, where the majority of young men are kicked out during their teens, so they don't compete with the old powerful men for wives. Young men without the possibility of getting married do little but cause trouble. Women civilize men. |

| I'm not going to do that, but anyone else can do that if they want to. It's their life and their choice, and government shouldn't have any say in the bedroom. |

| Polygamy should not be illegal, but I bet many would agree that it is not a stable situation. However, sex with multiple partners, especially before marriage? Hell yeah!! |

So the young men become multiple husbands to older widows. Polygamy works fine as long as it goes both ways. |

How about a Group Marriage? The group gets to exchange sexual partners every now and then?? |

Sure why not? Although a divorce from a group marraige would be really messy. |

But there are no human societies that exist like that. The only cases of human societies that have multiple husbands for a single wife involve brothers who share a wife. It is against animal nature for multiple males to get involved with helping provide for offspring that may be produced by another man. (hence why stepfathers are involved in so much more child abuse than natural fathers per capita). The only exceptions seems to be with brothers, because your brothers kids share around a quarter of your genes. |

Not a stable relationship. You won't find evidence of any cultures that have group marriages. |

Can you show any documented evidence at all to support this nonsense about the middle east. |

I am a polygamist. I don't believe in state-sanctioned marriages outside of marriages of convenience, but I generally do have multiple girlfriends and I usually sleep with three or more girls at a time. Just a personal preference.
I don't see what the issue is. |

You're not a polygamist, you're more of a polyamorist. Polygamy refers to marriage to multiple women, not girlfriends. |
