| It depends. Most leaders like to screen you, you know, read all your posts to make sure you fit in with the HQ, etc.. |

| Also depends on the HQ. A lot of the HQ's have fairly inactive leaders comparitively. |

| If you apply to the LPHQ you have to have 200 posts, it then takes as long as i feel like it / time needed to sift through them. |

Usually no more than a few days. You were approved a few days ago in fact. I check for new member applications about once every 3-5 days. |

We've had some troubles in the past, thats why i've upped my selective system.
Also im not big on letting 20 post wonders into a HQ that needs active people.
I do make exeptions on occasion though.
Im a hands on leader |

hmm. If ya want my opinion Franz, he seems to be a moderate Libertarian. The only things he really clashed with I saw was his belief on pollution laws (although a perfectly libertarian arguement can be made for such things). The only real problem post he has would be:
Quote:
If 9/11 happens again the world will put up protectionist barriers and lost all trust in each other, sticking a fork in globalization. Isolationism would commence. It would be bad for everyone.
Although I am not sure if by "globalization" he means free trade, or such things like the UN, etc...
Either way, he seems to espouse enough Libertarian beliefs that he should be let in in my opinion. |

I do not see how that is a "problem post". Another 9/11 would bring great global distrust, and trust is necessary for globalization and free trade. I'm not going to depend on you to make my computer if I'm worried it will blow up as a bomb when I plug it in. Protectionist barriers and isolationist foreign policy would likely make a resurgence. This is bad for everyone and would hamper economies and standards of living around the globe. It has nothing to do with one world government or the UN, as such ideas are thoroughly ridiculous.
I'm more of a small "l" libertarian, you might call me a "realist little l". I just would like to read along in the Libertarian HQ because I'm interested in the parties direction and progress in elections this fall. If I have to wait til 200 posts pass, the elections will probably be over. Most of my political typing simply goes towards another forum and my new blog. And to be honest, the level of debate I have seen here simply is not often inviting for me to participate... I've seen a lot of common political talking points, apparent trolls, and very misguided and misinformed individuals. Getting to 200 posts here will take me a while, too late for the Nov. elections. I'd simply like to be an exception :) |

| I don't have a set number. I do like to see people actively engaging in political discussion and to see that they represent a basic conservative philosophy. I also like to see that they do so without flaming and trolling. The last thing I like to do is to have a pm exchange to get to know their basic concerns and ideas regarding politics. |

200 posts? More posts doesn't make you more libertarian. |
