I have noticed some posters being marked "Fake Account".
What does this mean?
Thanks |

I'd like to know as well. I'm assuming that these monikers are set so that a status of someone's account can be identified.
If a person's account really is fake, I certainly can see it labeled as such.
If a person is purposely setting a graphic that makes it seem like their account is fake when it is not I think this should be disallowed.
I've also seen some account used the "banned" or "spammer" - are these all done the same way? If they are, how can we as users on the forum, know when one of these is fake and when it's real? |

A "fake account" tag means that the person has created muliple accounts and that is expressly against the rules. There have been times where the person has had issues with signing in and creates another account in order to private message an admin with the problem - but more times than not - it's a person returning who's account has been disabled because they've either been suspended or permanently banned.
If a person's account is suspended and then they re-register in order to post during their suspension, then I belive that is cause for a permanent ban.
Anyway.. just trying to help.
Later. |
