|
|
A long time ago, and I don't even remember the circumstances, my left speaker that came with my monitor died. It was not producing any sound whatsoever. I figured it was because it was banged up from transporting them from LAN party to LAN party. However, today, I tested two other speak systems, one right out of the box, and the same left speaker wasn't working.
Could this be a hardware problem? |

Try reloading your sound driver.
Is it onboard sound or a soundcard? |

Try new wires first if you have them.
Then try the drivers.
Then start looking for a new card. |

Thanks for your advice. I did some searching inside the tower to see if something was loose, and sure enough, the part of the motherboard that allows the connection of the speakers was loose on the motherboard. So, I either have to buy a new one or use the secondary one which is on top of the case.
Anyways, what I'm saying is that the problem is solved (sort of). Thanks again. |

You can pick up a Creative Soundblaster Audigy SE from any big box store for around $30. It's an excellent card. |

You can do it. I have confidence in you.
Have a few beers to loosen up some and go for it. |

| Use a low power soldering iron and don't get solder across the gaps and you won't have any problems. |

Heat the wire, then touch the solder to the wire.
It's pretty easy. |
