Bolded text is an excerpt that I found thought provoking.
A dominant theme in dualistic Satanic literature is the feeling that God and Satan are not what they appear to be. There is a strong belief in nearly all Satanic thought (except Evil Satan As Victor as above) that if Satan is real, then he is also not what White Light religions make him out to be.
Satan therefore represents a struggle against tyranny and a fight against the brainwashed masses and the unthinking, cruel and punishing hordes of mankind that follow the Right Hand Path: The bloody path of God worship. God, as a powerful White-Light force, has tricked and deluded mankind into accepting its gospel truth, and to put it simply: The majority of mankind are too stupid, fearful, weak and sheep-like to ever realize that they are following the wrong god.
God can only use below the belt tactics to spread lies and corruption, spreading his monotheistic religions that have been the center of bloodshed and evil and using all his powers to trick humanity. However... such tricks only work on the sheep, the mindless hordes. Nevertheless, those who represent truth, the oppressed and alien elite, either face a life of being hidden outcasts and secret aliens in society, or face a difficult struggle against the foolish herds of man.
Satan is this context is most similar to Lucifer, who brings enlightenment and intelligence.
Fighting for truth is much harder than spreading lies, which is why the world remains (and will always remain) biased against the Left Hand Path: The infernal path of the intelligent, strong and those vital forces of life that prevent mankind from slipping into a permanent dark age. The Bible, The Koran, all white light institutions are signs of the stupidity and gullible nature of man, and all represent death, bloodshed and pallid incompetence. Most of man is washed away in lies, and the few prophets and upkeepers of the truth, are hated and feared.
The Righteous Satan style of thought also associates many non-mainstream groups as being a force for good, so that many groups are considered allies such as freethinkers, athiests, humanists, and members of most Left Hand Path groups. All these individuals are considered powerful and strong, and therefore feared by the weaker force of lies that is God's domain, as deceit is inherently weaker and more temporary than truth.
Sometimes, Jesus, Buddha and other spiritual people/myths are considered good, but that stupidity and lies (such as The Koran, The Holy Bible, the Christian Churches) have been propagated so much that we no longer know what their true messages were.
The reasoning is a lot more organized here.[/quote] |

I don't see the point here exihbited in real life. In real life the majority of the people do not follow God's way. They do thier own thing and rebel. Turn on the television or go to a book store. Most of the material is geared towards promoting lifestyle that is actually anti-God, this is the majority. It seems to me that the brainwashing is working the the oposite direction that what you're stating.
It takes a person with conviction to go against the grain and live a Godly life...in fact just about everything in society is against one choosing to live for God. |

"If God was evil, it would definitely convince the weak-minded amongst us that it loves them. That's exactly what an evil God would do!"

John nailed it :-D
but I'm confused, where is this all coming from.....even if it was no-more then a metaphor Satan represents to Christians and Muslims the very incarnation of pride and huberius, the idea that the universe is centered on us, that reality is here mearly to serve us, that the key to life is not seeking justice and truth, but manipulation and perception......where are you getting all your stuff? :-| |

I think it is all a matter of perspective. Then, there is what perspective you wish to take, assuming God (or a god) does exist.
What I got out of it, other than the obvious, is that if something is presented well enough (convincingly enough, well-rounded enough), people can believe anything because they want to believe, no other fundamental reason.
Belief in [anything] in unique in the human life in that it is not provable, not proven and people still 100% can believe in [it].
And even if something is proven wrong 100%, many will continue to believe. |

I would beg to differ, the post is about the satanist view of satan and God it is stated in the post as well as made obvious in the link.
There is NOTHING here to do with Christianity, except for the poster's need to attempt to elicit a response.
I ask again why is this is the Christianity section, why not the larger category "religion". |

I see your point and to save others the effort;
11:13. For such false apostles are deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
11:14. And no wonder: for Satan himself transformeth himself into an angel of light.
11:15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers be transformed as the ministers of justice, whose end shall be according to their works. |

Perhaps because it 'taints' the holiness of the Christianity....?
At least that's the reason I have received from some other Christians when subjects, not to their liking, are brought up.
Perhaps the poster wanted specific christian insight on the subject....? |

Yes, Jude 9 is an important verse..
It's completely foolish to ever accuse Satan of anything.
That's the whole trick behind Satan, after all..
Do you know what Satan means in Hebrew? |

Samael is a demon who is often associated w/ Satan himself...
Samael is "venom of God".. Interesting, but not quite what I was looking for.. |
