Favorite movie scenes with guns, and they must be shooting.
Mine: Collateral (Club Scene) obviously, with the avatar. |

Ooooo nice, another Michael Mann flick.
And every gun scene in the movie Equilibrium

And there are actually two better ones than that in the movie  |

Excellent topic!
OK the matrix is taken (so my first choice is gone).
Can I have 'Predator' when the bloke with the mini-gun is going f*cking nuts and then everyone else goes nuts and by the end of it trees are collapsing in front of them from the amount of metal in the air?!! :-D :-D :-D
Fantastic film -- turn your brain off and go .. I love it!! |

every scene of the sniper in Saving Private Ryan....they really captured those moments
the battle scenes from The Patriot
but my alltime favorite scene is from Apocolype Now.... when they came across the stoned guy in the trenches by the river base
the stoned guy was listening to the VC yell " F* you GI...GI F* You!.... raises the thumper and sends one round downrange..... "F* you GI...F* You GI... *BOOM*....... motherF*-er" |

All excellent choices.
I remember watching the "bullet through the eye" scene in slo-mo...cool stuff. |

Not a lot of shooting in this one, but I love the ending in the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Heck most of Clint's cowboy and Dirty Harry shows have some excellent shooting in them.
Oh and while I'm at it, can't forget the ending of Scarface. |

Nice. Loved all the Dirty Harry's and Scarface. GBU is a tad overrated but I still enjoyed it. |

Enemy at the Gate is a pretty good sniper flick. It has the classic sniper scene where the enemy sniper is shot through the scope......
Other good gun movies include Quigley Down Under (especially the scenes where he's demonstrating his shooting), and the 80s classic, Red Dawn (no, it's not realistic, but it's fun). |

Even Stallone had a cheesy movie in one of the Rambo movies where he was shooting up the POW camp from a helicopter, using the guns and all and he did the yelling thing.while spinning around.
That part cracked me up but I loved the Boom...booom and guns going off. |

Outlaw Josie Wales has got to be my favorite with all the riding and firing pistols at his enemy.
Clint pulled that one off pretty good |

| I liked Quigley, especially the long range shooting parts. The scene where the 2 guys walk past each other and he nails them both with one shot was cool. My favorite line though was at the end with the Colt-"I said I didn't have much use for a Colt revolver, I didn't say I didn't know how to use one" or something like that. |

I love imdb:
Elliott Marston: [O'Flynn and Dobkin prepare Quigley for an old-fashioned duel] I seem to remember you're not too familiar with Colonel Colt's revolver, so this will be your first lesson. Don't worry. Mr Dobkin and Mr. O'Flynn will ensure that it's a fair contest.
Elliott Marston: [Marston starts walking backwards] I'll just back up a few paces... And to your left a bit, that's it... Now you're right in front of my old pistol target.
Elliott Marston: [Marston slips his coat back to reveal his holster] Some men are born in the wrong century. I think I was born on the wrong continent. Oh, by the way, you're fired
Matthew Quigley: This ain't Dodge City. And you ain't Bill Hickok.
Matthew Quigley: [Quigley shoots Dobkin, O'Flynn and Marston before they can even aim their guns, then walks up to a dying Marston] I said I never had much use for one. Never said I didn't know how to use it. |

Stole the words from my mouth. The first Matrix movie reinvented action movies.
These were both invented in the matrix.
Also Band of Brothers was a good mini series from HBO thet they showed on the History Channel. That has several WWII battles.
