some Israeli peace songs(there are many more)with english translations, I wonder how many Palestinian peace songs there are? (hopefully there will be more)

Bashana Haba’a

Next year we'll sit on the porch and
count migrating birds
Children on vacation will play tag
Between the house and the fields.
You will see you will see how good it will be
next year.
Red grapes will ripen by the evening
And will be served chilled at the table
And languid winds carry to the
crossroads
Old newspapers and a cloud
Next year
We will spread out our hands
Towards the radiant light.
A white heron
Like a light will spread her wings
And within them the sun will rise.

Yihyeh Tov

I look out of the window
and it makes me very sad,
spring has left
who knows when it will return.
the clown has become a king
the prophet has become a clown
and I have forgotten the way
but I am still here

And all will be good
yes, all will be good
though I sometimes break down
but this night
oh, this night,
I will stay with you.

Children wear wings
and fly off to the army
and after two years
they return without an answer.
people live under stress
looking for a reason to breathe
and between hatred and murder
they talk about peace.

And all will be good...

(Yes) up there in the sky
clouds are learning how to fly
and I look up
and see a hijacked airplane.
A government of generals
divide the land,
to whats theirs and ours
and we do not/when will we see the end?

We will yet learn to live together
between the groves of olive trees
children will live without fear
without borders, without bomb-shelters
on graves grass will grow,
for peace and love,
one hundred years of war
but we have not lost hope.

And all will be good...

I look out of my window
maybe it has/will come
a new day

Here comes the prince of Egypt
oh how I rejoiced for him
there are pyramids in (our) eyes
and peace in his pipe
and we said let's complete (it)
and we'll live as brothers
and he then said (let's) advance,
just go out from the territories.

Shir Lashalom

Let the sun rise
light up the morning
The purest of prayers
will not bring us back

He whose candle was snuffed out
and was buried in the dust
bitter crying won't wake him up
and won't bring him back

Nobody will bring us back
from a dead and darkened pit
here,
neither the victory cheer
nor songs of praise will help

So just sing a song for peace
don't whisper a prayer
Just sing a song for peace
in a loud shout

Allow the sun to penetrate
through the flowers
don't look back
let go of those departed

Lift your eyes with hope
not through the rifles' sights
sing a song for love
and not for wars

Don't say the day will come
bring on that day -
because it is not a dream -
and in all the city squares
cheer only for peace!

Tutim

The coldness in your garden against the warmth of my garden
the bunker to your left against the artillery shell in my hand
your grenade is not fruit and it's ready in your hand here,
they are each ready in my rifle magazine.

Chorus:
The light goes up from the east,
a new day has arrived.
The two of us will overcome the terror
Strawberries, strawberries, come we'll buy only strawberries
Instead of other war-machines.

You blocked the bed with many sandbags,
and on your head is the helmet from the bunker on the left
You wished that my soul'd be bound forever,
here, they are each ready in my rifle magazine.

Chorus:
The light goes up from the east,
a new day has arrived.
The two of us will overcome the terror
Strawberries, strawberries, come we'll buy only strawberries
Instead of other war-machines.

Od yavo Shalom Aleinu

Peace will come upon us
Peace will come upon us
Peace will come upon us
and on everyone.

Salaam ('peace' in Arabic)
On us and on everyone
Salaam, Salaam

Yeah it is, I asked this question before and Saracen posted what he thought was a peace song but it actually called for the destruction of Israel which was upsetting.

Oh, there are many. One is called "The Arabic Dream (Al Hilm il Arabi)".

So I looked it up, here are the lyrics in english

Our dream will live in the hearts of generations after generations.
And what we say today will be our life-long commitment.
Chorus:
Perhaps the darkness of the night will distance us,
But the light's rays can reach the furthest sky.
This is our dream, for all our lives, an embrace to enfold us, all of us.
The dream is not impossible, so long as its fulfillment is conceivable.
And if the night becomes long, definitely afterwards there will be dawn.
Live up to all that you are, even when the truth is the difficult path.
Try, and you shall arrive; the dignity of the attempt will suffice.
Prove yourself to your own Time; believe in your ambitions, you will succeed.
Let your eyes see the truth, and the truth will be seen by others.
Challenge the world and revolt, and learn to remain courageous.
The journey of a thousand miles, starts with a single step.
Justice needs strength, so that you can protect it.
Never, by rhetoric and complaints, will the rightful land return.
Love has fire and spark, and eyes filled with hope.
Children, with stones in their hands, will reinvent the world.
From anywhere in the world, we speak the Arabic language.
And in the loudest voice and heartbeat, we call unity a rebirth.
Our children everywhere, are the light of the nations' eyes.
Fairness, Love, Goodness ... , are our message for all Time.
Sing and say with us: Art is aspiration and success.
From sadness, we create joy, from our thoughts, a path and a life.
A word of truth in a song, is spoken and passes in a second;
Perhaps after years, it may change the world with it.
Let the songs be true, and plan your time for action.
Love will find a door for all the closed paths.
The song cancels borders, and the heart is its nation;
As long as we live, we'll sing; as long as we can, we'll love.
Love is not by words, but by actions and feelings.
Be a light, a smile, a song, and a guide for the paths of others.
Our dream, for all Times, is the unity of all nations.
All the disagreements will disappear; it is enough that you are human.
Your art is your homeland in the exile; you'll find the proof wherever you go.
Sing of people and friendship, you'll find the world to be beautiful.
Love, in all the world's languages, and condense the years into seconds.
The bird's destiny is to fly, and our destiny is to sing these songs.
We hope the dream will become real, and break all hardened silences.
It is not too much for the truth to be bright, even while they call it foolishness.
The tree was a seed, and the story was an idea.
And since we love and dream, we'll reach the path of tomorrow.

It seems to me that "peace" in the Arab mind is defined as "Justice" rather than absence of hostilities.

And this is coming from 2 sources IMHO:
1- the feeling of humiliation that is prevalent among the Arab people because of the turmoil that the Arab world has been experiencing for the past century.
2- the fact that many Arabs value concepts such as "honour" over the value of life.

So, that is why you are NOT going to find "peace" per se in that song.

I'm not against the rightful return of land. Indeed I look forward to Hungary regaining it's lands robbed from them under The Treaty of Trianon!!

Well it goes well with this:
Quote: Our dream, for all Times, is the unity of all nations.

I guess "unity" is to be created by kids "re-inventing the world" by throwing rocks.

If that is your idea of peace it's small wonder that the Muslim world is involved in over 90% of the conflicts happening today.

But your drawing that inference based off what you think the sentence truly represents. I'm sure it can mean completely different things to completely different people...

Your talkin bout arabs look at the american national anthem

Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Power that has made and preserved us as a nation.
