|

What about stem cell research? I believe that stem cell research is extremely important and should be considered. Now I'm not saying to go out and kill babies or even that abortion is o.k. I'm saying that no matter the law or the time, place, circumstances there will always be someone out there that will break the law and have an abortion done. So what I am getting at is that i think while we are at it we should be using the stem cells from aborted babies for good purposes like research and eventually medical use. Rather than let these babies die in vain with no purpose in their life. It is like donating an organ when you die, or more like giving blood to be more correct. View this as the Ultimate sacrifice a baby you don't want, but will be giving up in the hope that he/she may save a life.

I feel that every fetus aborted should go to stem cell research. The government seems to disagree. Not necessarily because they see stem cell research as wrong, but Bush can't seem look left any better than Derek Zoolander. Those who have an actual opinion on the topic feel that increased research of stem cells would give justification to abortions. Maybe so. But fetuses aren't the only ways to get stem cells. We need to jump at the opportunity we have and start saving some lives. This should no longer involve the abortion issue. The debate on stem cells has set back our medical research for years. It's time to sacrifice our pride today for a better tomorrow.

The good news, in the embryonic stem cell debate (there is no debate on other stem cell research), is that finally state legislatures will have to confront and define exactly what is and is not a human life and spell out how to proceed in this arena.

I was just watching the news and i saw a special report about how we can actually not kill so many fetuses for the cells. I'm not quite sure how yet because it was just a brief report that it didn't give much info. but i definitely agree with levin893. Pride out the window for a better tomorrow!
