Ronald Reagan, our 40th President.
He was probably one of the greatest people to ever live. He changed our world with his voice and policies. |

Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, for sentimental and historical reasons. (leadership through the Civil War and World War II respectively)
However in terms of standard in office performance, I'd have to say James K. Polk, Woodrow Wilson or Theodore Roosevelt. |

Mikhail Gorbachev, and a well deserved Nobel Peace Prize in 1990
ended the political supremacy of the Communist Party and dissolved the Soviet Union

Bill Clinton:
1. He was too busy messing around then to screw up the nation
2. He made BJ's not cheating. Thank's Bill!
3. I made allot of money when he was president. |

Dear God, not FDR....I thought this thread was about the "best" not the absolute worst.
TR was good, Reagan, Any of the Interwar Presidents, allof the Founding Father Presidents ( Despite their idiosyncrasies)
Best President? most historically significant? Most clearly aligned toward ethical and Moral goodness? most Delicious? Hottest? |

Most of the founding fathers... it's hard to isolate one that was the very best.
I think Reagan should be one up there noticed, however. |

Jefferson because of the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and FDR because of the New Deal programs (while one could argue that FDR was a socialist, one could also argue that FDR’s new deal programs were created simply to appease revolutionary socialists).
Clinton is by far the most overrated president along with Reagan. Clinton was praised for strong economic growth and peace even though many conflicts arose overseas while the working man still didn’t achieve much more progress towards a better life. Reagan is overrated because he is constantly praised for bringing an end to communism, which he didn’t, and a strong economic policy that benefits all American, which defiantly was not true! In fact, all he did was cut funding to the bear bones for all social programs and cut taxes to the rich, and deregulated just about everything, eventually leading to corruption and scandals such as Enron.
Also, Theodore Roosevelt is extremely overrated. He is often praised for as a war hero (in the first [unjust] war for American imperialism), and for his “trust-busting” campaigns. Although he did break up a few trusts against the likes of those such as Morgan and Rockefeller, he didn’t even pursue as many as his predecessor. Why? Because he refused to prosecute the heads of these monopolies because the incentives they were rewarding him were far too great. He just pleased the working class just enough so they wouldn’t revolt.
And of course… the worst president(s): None other then George W. Bush and his dear old dad George H.W. Bush for the evil creation of the New World Order and the conquest for Oil and global domination.
Best: Jefferson, FDR
Most Overrated: Clinton, Reagan, TR
Worse: The Bush Dynasty |

| George Washington was the best of the founding fathers, and I think FDR was the best outside of America's beginning. Some presidents had relatively easy terms and therefore couldn't prove their ability as president. |

Ronnie R! Jesus christ, his mind was swiss cheese and his missus ran his second term for him.
The best president you have was a guy who hardly new what day it was. As for all that American jive about him bringing down communism with diplomacy, well thats a joke. It collapsed because communism was also a joke.
Its funny in America. When they say anyone can become president, they do. Look at the imbecile in office at the moment. In Britain he would be in a home with a hat with a plastic windmill on it, along with the other dingbats, drug addicts and village idiots.
Best leader (for the world). Herbie Hoover. He saved millions of Germans, poles and other races with his humanitarian efforts after WW2. A top bloke, but kinda crud domestically. |
