Shocking election-theft testimony
Posted by Evan Derkacz August 23, 2006.
Vote-rigging software written for Republican...
CLICK ABOVE TO WATCH VIDEO
Computer programmer Clinton Eugene Curtis testifies under oath before the U.S. House Judiciary Members in Ohio (back in 2004) -- video to the left (partial transcript below). Stephen Pizzo writes:
Code: If you can watch this entire video, and still use an electronic voting machine, you deserve the government you get. If your state or district has decided to use electronic voting machines this November demand an absentee ballot today. Watch this video. Then join those of us who have decided that since paper was good enough for our constitution, it's good enough for our vote too.
Oh, and when you're done watching the whole video... pass it along. November is only a a few weeks off and the last thing Republicans want to see is either house returned to Democrat control. Because if that happens, hearings happen. And if hearings happen... well, who knows - someone(s) could go to jail. So, demand a paper ballot or an absentee ballot in Nov. and leave the cheaters with a pocket full of worthless Diebold electrons.
A partial transcript:
Are there computer programs that can be used to secretly fix elections?
Yes.
How do you know that to be the case?
Because in October of 2000, I wrote a prototype for Congressman Tom Feeney [R-FL]...
It would rig an election?
It would flip the vote, 51-49. Whoever you wanted it to go to and whichever race you wanted to win.
And would that program that you designed, be something that elections officials... could detect?
They'd never see it.

First, welcome to PC m8! :hi:
Second, Do you believe that the Republicans stole any election using this software?
Third, Are you aware computers and software can be checked? And that it is impossible to hide shenanigans on a computer unless you destroy it after the shenanigans?
Fourth, should I assume you'd like to play the "hanging chad" game again?
Fifth, I have info on some dirty-leg Republicans you can use if you want a non-shenanigans thread. |

By "shenanigans", I'm assuming you mean vote rigging. You'd need to keep a seperate record of what the vote was, otherwise it could be fairly straightforward to falsify someone's choice, depending on the implementation.
And it's VERY DIFFICULT to check software in its binary form to see what it does. It's hard enough in source form, where the aim is to make it easy for humans to understand what is going on. |

trax, are your skills of higher caliber than Computer programmer Clinton Eugene Curtis ?
Because he stated clearly, under oath:
Quote: Are there computer programs that can be used to secretly fix elections?
Yes.
How do you know that to be the case?

They'd never see it.
Please tell me which digit I changed below.

If you hang around hookie you'll notice we have resident Bush/Rep haters/conspiricy theory-tin foil hat adherents aplenty. They make for some interesting reading. From the title of your first thread I think I know what row of the 'peanut gallery' you'll be sitting on. LOL
Welcome to PCF
I think you should include an opinion when you start a thread not just C&P. That's sort of frowned on here I think. |

| The fact that the source code voting machines and vote counting machines is not open is all I need to know. |

Diito!
What I'm also wondering is why there hasn't been an open and very public investigation of the situation. Surely, if nothing is going wrong then publically proving that would lay everyone's fears to rest. |

That's gettting into "Alternate Theories" territory. Might want to start a thread there. He/she is just posting factual testimony. |

Would you place Clinton Eugene Curtis in the 'Bush/Rep haters/conspiricy theory-tin foil hat' category ?
Quote: Curtis (a lifelong Republican) assumed initially that this effort was aimed at detecting Democratic fraud, but later learned that it was intended to benefit the Republican Party.
Quote: Curtis claims, but has no proof that Raymond C. Lemme, a Florida DOT investigator, spent about a year investigating and told Curtis that he "had tracked the corruption 'all the way to the top', that the story would 'break in the next few weeks' and he would be satisfied with the results."
This conversation allegedly occurred two weeks before his unexpected death on June 30, 2003, an apparent suicide in a town located 80 miles from where he resided.
Curtis, a lifelong Republican, is now running in the Democratic Primary as an opponent of one other Democratic challenger for the seat currently held by Republican Tom Feeney in Congress. See http://www.clintcurtis.com/ |

Agreed. The source code for any software being used for public purposes should be publicly available, as a matter of principle. Except, perhaps, security critical software -- but obscurity is not security in software anyway, so I doubt it would make a blind bit of difference. For instance, SE Linux, which was developed with the help of the NSA, and provides military-grade security for Linux platforms, is free (or open source, if you don't know what I mean). |

You guys surely aren't software developers. The code is proprietary as is 99% of code. Companies don't usually open source any of their commercial code. |

Aparently you dont know much about programming, viruses and hacking. Software is about as unpredictable as lighting. It can be used to do anything.
this isnt a "shenanigans" thread... its just more fact being shoved down the conservative throat that they dont want to answer to. Instead say "Thats not true!" without any facts to back it up.
I am sure we will see another republican President in 2108. |

Kerry alleges misconduct in 2004 Ohio vote
August 29, 2006
Quote: WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. John Kerry didn't contest the results at the time, but now that he's considering another run for the White House, he's alleging election improprieties by the Ohio Republican who oversaw the deciding vote in 2004.
An e-mail from Kerry will be sent to 100,000 Democratic donors Tuesday asking them to support U.S. Rep. Ted Strickland for governor of Ohio. The bulk of the e-mail criticizes Strickland's opponent, GOP Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, for his dual role in 2004 as President Bush's honorary Ohio campaign co-chairman and the state's top election official.
"He used the power of his state office to try to intimidate Ohioans and suppress the Democratic vote," Kerry says in the e-mail, according to a copy provided in advance.
Kerry, D-Massachusetts, conceded the election when he lost Ohio and its 20 electoral votes. A recount requested by minor-party candidates showed Bush won by about 118,000 votes out of 5.5 million cast. But Kerry's e-mail says Blackwell "used his office to abuse our democracy and threaten basic voting rights."
Multiple lawsuits by outside groups were unsuccessful in challenging Ohio's 2004 election. One case filed by the League of Women Voters is still in U.S. District Court in Toledo. It claims Ohio's election system discriminates against minority voters.
Blackwell, who is black, says the election was run fairly, citing 1 million more votes cast than in 2000 and record turnout among black voters.
"People will say anything for money," Blackwell campaign spokesman Carlo LoParo said. "Fortunately, the historical record contradicts Senator Kerry."
Strickland spokesman Keith Dailey said the campaign welcomes Kerry's support.
