Attorney General: Terrorists are in our neighborhoods

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, in Pittsburgh to address the World Affairs Council, recalled memories of Sep. 11 while referring ominously to a stateless enemy hidden in American towns.
"The most dramatic change," said Gonzales, "is the nature of the enemy our country today faces -- a stateless enemy sometimes hidden and nurtured here in our neighborhoods, taking advantage of the very laws they mock with their killing and destruction, as a shield from detection and prosecution."
Gonzales, further emphasizing the perceived domestic danger, stated, "The threat of homegrown terrorist cells may be as dangerous as groups like al Qaeda, if not more so.
"It is therefore essential that we continue to develop the tools we need to investigate their actions and intentions with the help of our partners, and prosecute those who travel down the road of radicalization."

Comment: the recent "plot" seems to begiving fuel to the idea of going after domestics, just like Bill Clintong did after OKC. |

Well, it is an elction year and the repubs are in deep sauce..... we can expect a lot more of the Terror Boogie Man alarm ringing on a weekly basis.....
Along with more commercials showing Bush standing proud and strong amongst images of the twin towers rubble. Nothing like using dead Americans to pander to the sheeple's fears.... |

I went to a presidential election rally, and to give you some idea when, the guy was the former governor of Alabama: George Wallace. I had a cassette machine, and I recorded some, and got to sit in the press area. But it was not hard to recognize even so many years ago that the policy of the government is to look on all citizens as the enemy when not directly seeking their votes. I think they would be happy to have us all in prison, but the fact that we accept such behavior from our servants really suggests a straight jacket for each of us in order.
The reason our government cannot be reconciled with each us and runs in fear of us as much as of enemies abroad is that we have been set at each others throats for the margin of victory. Needing only 51% to govern means the satisfaction of a whole people, and even the unity of a whole people must be constantly undermined for the sake of economy of effort and efficiency of spoilation. There is an insidious enemy at work in America, and though its face may change its character is intransigent; and only the fact that our founders gave this monster life is keeping it alive today. Certainly, our government should fear us, but we are fickle and foolish, and gullible, and mercurial; but they should fear justice even more that cannot countanance murder and impetuous warfare. They had better be careful that the prison they seek for us does not fence them in. |

Well our rulers are just puppets, they serve other masters. Whats need is an understanding of the people, that we are being used, most people understand that or that their is something wrong, but most don't understand what is wrong and find themselves falling back into the prepaired left vs right game.
After 80 years of condition we the people are little more then sheep, not understanding how our government is suppose to work or even understanding their rights.
Its very said.
Quote: "Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the Field of
commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."
Woodrow Wilson,The New Freedom (1913)
Quote: "The government of the Western nations, whether monarchical or republican, had passed into the invisible hands of a plutocracy, international in power and grasp. It was, I venture to suggest, this semioccult power which....pushed the mass of the American people into the cauldron of World War I." British military historian Major General J.F.C. Fuller, l941
Quote: "The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the larger centers has owned the Government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson." A letter written by FDR to Colonel House, November 21st, l933
Quote: "The real rulers in Washington are invisible, and exercise power from behind the scenes." Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, 1952
Quote: "Fifty men have run America, and that's a high figure." Joseph Kennedy, father of JFK, in the July 26th, l936 issue of The New York Times.
Quote: "Today the path of total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by the Congress, the President, or the people. Outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government - a bureaucratic elite.
Senator William Jenner, 1954 |
