I like where I live, without Big Brother poking his nose in everything I own.
Britain, on the other hand, has given itself the power to arrest and detain without probable cause, surveil without a warrant, etc.
I don't know or associate with drug dealers. Perhaps you should find better people to hang out with. |

Yea I don't hang out with them as such. I knew a few friends who had a particular love of cocaine. bit embarrassing really.
There are certainly some worrying things happening over here with regards to police power .. although I don't know the details .. sounds like a similar thing to the Patriot act over in the US -- or Bush phone tapping any internal calls he fancies. The world is turning into a strange place. I have my trust in the government, but for everyone in the free world -- we have to be careful about how many rights to give up to let the authorities look for that crazy-ass terrorist that wants to kill 500 civilians ... |

What terrorist that wants to kill 500 civilians? If the civvies could defend themselves, and weren't intimidated by a few people with ill intentions, there would be no terror as we know it.
The world isn't becoming strange, it's becoming a Police State - and we're all disillusioned into thinking it's "for our own safety." Well, I'm not. I know exactly what's going on, and I don't like it. I make sure to let me elected representatives know this on a regular basis, for what it's worth. |
