Just curious:
Are there any gay parents on PCF currently?
If so, did you adopt, 'go biological' (invetro), or have kids from a previous relationship?
What has your experience been being gay parents?
And if you don't have kids, do you plan on having them in the future? |

While I don't personally have children, I know many gay parents. Arizona happens to have more gay families than any other state! I take pride in that because I think that children raised in a queer household have a lot better chance of becoming better equipped to handle social pressures because they are more socially aware than the average child.
I know some gay couples who have adopted and one of my best friends has a female lover and she also has a 19 year old daughter who just married a fella from the military stationed in Iraq.
She used a man to become pregnant but she's raised her own child with 2 women as parents and the kid is all grown up and has a very harmonious relationship.

yep, from a previous relationship.
Though I don't consider myself "gay", as that's just a label made up by and for those who seek to categorize and stereotype rather than understand.
I don't really see any division between people, or have any real sexual "preference", and as a result I can love or just enjoy a physical relationship with anyone I like.
As far as what it's like as a parent...well umm...I don't have sex in front of my son, so it doesn't really ever come up :P
He's been around such since birth though really, as his aunt is gay as well. So it's treated normal here, not even something we've had to talk about yet...though more questions may come.
All we need is food and creative love. ;) |

| I don't have any kids at the moment, but according to three different psychics I'm supposed to have 3 daughters (the oldest two being biologically my partner's daughters, and the youngest being mine). Guess we'll just have to see if that comes to fruition. |

I would probably adopt if I could. I would want to help a child that's already here before bringing another one into the world |
