That Senate hearing was so painful to watch because it proved to me that idiots and morons are running the US government who have no knowledge of the world and are only there because they are wealthy and have connections to the establishment.

I dislike many politicians around the world, whether they be British, Israeli, Zimbabwean, U.S or French politicians. In disliking a particular politician, dont be so blind to think that they are stupid. Some of these politicians I dont like, I begrudgingly except that some of them are extremely clever. You may not personnaly like Galloway, but not acknowledging that he is sharp upstairs is dishonest. If you want a comparrison of interlect, then look no further than the roasting he gave to a darling of the Republican party Norm Coleman. After watching that, then come back and tell me he not smart and logical in thought.

Read what I wrote again, friend. I didn't say that Galloway had no intellect. Yes, you have to have some intelligence to demagogue the Senate the way he did. That said, the man is a left-wing lunatic who has taken sides against the West in just about every single conflict in recent memory, supports terrorist groups like Hezbollah, and spouts Islamist propaganda like it were the Gospel truth. For a Scot to take sides against his own civilization like that is pretty stupid and shows a shocking lack of sound logic. The only reason most Brits have anything good to say about him at all is because they're not big fans of our Senate and, to be honest, it was pretty funny to see the high-and-mighties take it on the chin. Other than that, though, most see him as a fool, so for maalox to say that he is "smart and logical" is rather laughable.

Galloway basically showed them the disdain they deserved. He owned them so badly it was almost like watching a truck hitting a rabbit.

That said, I don't actually like him, but he's very intelligent. He may also have a shade of demagoguery as mentioned, but it wasn't that which he used on the senate commitee. He destroyed their sunny day with information, and an ability to recall it.
