This thread was locked. I would love to know which of the forum rules was being broken here.

I think pretty much all of the intellect's posts doomed that thread. I originally couldn't understand either, until I really read some of his posts. Everyone else was ok, at least IMO.

Not to mention the hot or not threads are getting a little old.

I see you found the Q&A section of Political Crossfire. If you note, we here at Political Crossfire want to provide our members with an atmosphere condusive to political debate. You see we really like political debate around here as political debate makes for great discussions, especially if a large amount of differeing political views can come in and debate a political subject. Arguing politics is a favorite pasttime of mine; perhaps that is why I joined Political Crossfire. Ah, now on to your question.

I'm sorry you asked if a thread about which race is the "hottest" was locked?

Look, the lounge is a place to talk about football or whatever, but this is political crossfire first and foremost. It doesn't mean you can degrade people in the lounge just because you cannot do it elsewhere. The responses in that thread -- let alone the original poster -- necessitated a lock.

So John - just to be clear... talking about "jungle babes" and their "batty" as well as racial overtones and stereotypes of women's bodies as they pertain to their race, as well as derogatory depictions and linking to porn sites isn't allowed??

Geeze you guys are strict...

(that was total sarcasm there in case anyone missed it.)

It was a derogatory thread towards women which is against the forum rules. As gentlemen, we have a responsibility to act like them.

While that particular thread eventually was reduced to being arguably degrading, I do not believe discussing physical attractiveness of women in general is degrading by any means.

Well, it was in the rules. But that thread is gone with the wind after the hacking. One of us is trying to find time to retype it.
Bottom line: If a moderator feels that a thread is off-topic, degrading in any manner, trolling, spam, malicious, pointless, without opinion and talking points, or repeated, they have the right to lock it.
Do not say, "Well, then every thread will get locked cause blah blah..."
This is the way we have ALWAYS operated. As a member who has been here quite a while, you should be aware of that.

Gee, let's see... The original poster referred to Asians as "Orientals," linked to a porn site, and personally attacked foadi. That's a tough one. Why did you lock the thread and suspend him? I bet the mods just hate white people. After all, their action clearly violates the Constitution of Political Crossfire. We have an inalienable right to exercise free speech on THEIR PROPERTY, don't we?!

Moderators are supposed to enforce the rules.

Here are the rules

Chrissakes. How about this one:

Moderators/Administrators: The Political Crossfire Staff are volunteers and have the final word.

Pretty self explanatory to me, but then again... I'm biased after having people try and nit pick the rules here apart letter by letter.

What about hotlinking to porno do you not understand DS? Seriously. Is this that big of a deal for you?

I don't think you could go off, for example, banning 20 people a day without the admins getting pissed.

Then you never went through the thread.

There was a link to a pornography site, which was removed from the thread along with locking it.
