>>A retired colonel in Israel's military intelligence, Reuven Erlich, said yesterday that there were gaps between the Syrian-Lebanese border that could be exploited by Iran. "Of course there are gaps. The Syrian-Lebanese border is a long border. It is very difficult to close such a border hermetically if the Syrian regime does not cooperate, and this is not the case. I guess the IDF are doing their best to decrease the amount of supply, but I don't think it can be stopped."
Mr. Erlich, head of the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center at the Tel Aviv-based Center for Special Studies, said he believes that President Ahmadinejad is supporting a cease-fire now because it is in Hezbollah's best interest.
A former Pentagon analyst on Iran and current scholar at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, Michael Rubin, said, "Iran is fighting a proxy war, but smugly feels itself immune to consequence. Not only is this unfair to the Lebanese, but it is dangerous for Washington. The more overconfident Iran becomes in its ability to get away with murder, the more likely Americans will be targeted down the line."<<

The Iranians are itching to fight the Israelis but know what the consequences would be for doing so. Hence they are more than happy to give their weapons to others and have them fight for them.
I would'nt be surprised if Hezbollah initially attacked Israel because Iran told them to do so. Of course there is the small matter of the West having to prove it, if indeed that is the case. |

Hezbollah had to have Iran's okay for these major decisions. What they didn't expect is that it was going to blow in their face. Now they're doing everything to save face... pun intended...   |

The A.E.I are the most discredited think tank on the planet, and I should know because i work for a think tank.
These people really have an agenda, and they'll almost say and write anything to achieve it.
They are part of the same collective, known as the Israel first group. If any group on this Planet has influence over the U.S administration over middle east policy. Then the members of the A.E.I are it. They don't even have any of the best minds or researchers in the business, but are extremely well connected.
It was said that "Knowledge is power" but with people catching on to that fact, man looked for a different advantage. No longer is it "Knowledge is power" but in the late 20th and the early 21st century, it is "Access is power".
You could have the greatest plans and ideas, since the wheel or sliced bread. But if you don't have access to those that really have power, then what good is knowledge. The A.E.I understand this implicitly and when I tell you, these guys really have access. I mean these guys have the ear of those, who really make the decisions.
Nevertheless they are too bias, propergate lies, run smear campaigns to discredit opponents. They are a throughly disgusting cabal. |

So we have a bunch of guys guessing? I'm sure Iran is doing just as you say, but these guys don't seem to actually be able to show it.

I don't see one intelligence proof in the whole article. |
