No, a haiku is 5-7-5 (number of syllables on each line). It's another reference to the Book of Revelation and the end of the world. |

There's potentially some truth to that...
America is mythically known as the New Atlantis, or the resurrection of the ancient kingdom of Atlantis.. an ancient land that was famed for its space-age technology and military prowess (things which also happen to characterize America today). Moreover, in ancient mythology, Atlantis was always referred to euphemasitcally as the "Land of Ten Kings" .. 7 great kings and 3 minor ones (or else I'm getting it backwards, I forget). At any rate, I believe the Beast in Revelation also has ten heads and wears 7 crowns, or some such thing.
Some observers believe that it symbolizes a resurrected Atlantis.. i.e., America. |

cap'n and John are going to call me out as a spook for saying that America is the "New Atlantis", so I'm just going to pre-empt that in the bud and say that by saying so, I'm putting myself in the same group as the ancient Knights Templar, Francis Bacon, William Shakespeare and Benjamin Franklin (to man just a few men who believed that America was the resurrection of Atlantis).
