IF you folks are looking for a kickass free e-mail thingy, get Gmail. It's f***ing awesome.
I have had several e-mail accounts ruined by spam. I have never, EVER had a problem with this. Every single spam mail I get (be it scam, advertising, or phishing) automatically goes into my spam folder. The spam filter also has NEVER taken anything I wanted to keep. To this day, I have yet to get spam in my inbox or good s**t in my spam box.
s**t, it's even idiot-proof. All scams, phishing, etc. is in the spam folder, and even if you open it up there, there's a bar up at the top that warns you about the threat that the e-mail poses.
I forget the exact amount, but it gives you an absolutely REDICULOUS amount of storage space on your account.
There are "conversations", where certain e-mails are combined into one in the inbox, and can be sifted through when you click on it. Example: You are watching a topic on PCF, and 10 people respond to it, resulting in PCF e-mailing you 10 times. There is one icon in your inbox, and when you click on it you can switch between the different e-mails sent. THis way, there is no clutter.
Gmail just simply kicks ass. You can't just go to the site and signup, though...you need an "invite" from someone who already uses g-mail. For that reason, post your regular e-mail address here (or PM it to me) and I'll send ya an invite to G-mail. I have about 100 of 'em, so don't be shy. |

I never get spam, and I use Yahoo. I also don't fill in my email address on every single site that asks for it.
I have a gmail account, but I've sent myself things and not recieved it for hours after that. I also don't like the interface.
