I wouldn't 'encourage' porn, but I would assume that sooner or later when they are interested enough they will be able to procure it just as I did. It wouldn't be a big deal for me unless it was violent or self-hurtful material.
Discovery would probably prompt a non-objectivisation discussion. Love women but remember everyone is a human and requires the same respect. |

What do you mean "let them"?
It's not like when they're a certain age I'm going to sit them down and say "son, this is porn, you masturbate while watching it".
That never happens.
They'll discover it on their own eventually. The only way it should happen. |

Because it's tantamount to grooming them for abuse.... |

| Where's the "I will have no kids option"? Even if I had kids, I would say never. I wouldn't want them sucking away bandwidth from my porno downloads. |

It 'trains' children to accept sexual contact. Showing pornography to children is a common tactic used by Paedophiles to prepare them for sexual abuse.... |

Why is "sexual contact" bad?

Then the parents either need to do a better job watching their kid, or their kids need to stop being dumbasses. |

*Sigh* do I really have to explain why sexual contact with children is a bad thing?

They're children! Explain to me how the competence of parents or the intellegence of the children concerned is justification for allowing them to watch hard-core pornography? |

You never said with CHILDREN. Sexual contact in and of itself is not bad. Consentual IS good, and you wont get a child to consent to sex without coercion.

Hmm...If someone else is teaching your kid s**t that you don't like, then why are you, the parent, allowing it?
And, once again, you wont get a child to consent to sex without coercion. |

Having stupid parents doesn't mean a child deserves to be abused.
Children are quite easily manipulated. That's why statutory rape laws exist. Showing children pornography is the first step towards asking them if they would like to try some of the stuff being shown, because it looks like 'fun'..... |

It also doesn't mean it's the government's job to be a parent

Coercion is not consent

Statuatory rape laws are bulls**t

Once again, where is the f***ing parent? If the kid is that stupid, then the parent should know. |

I think it's asking a bit much to expect a child to have the same reasoning capacities as an adult. They can be made to consent to do things that will later inflict considerable psycholigical damage on the child. That is why statutory rape laws are NOT bulls**t.
And once again, having stupid parents who let their child hang out with nonces does not mean they deserve to be abused by said nonces.... |

| Everyone is going to discover porn but I as a parent would not introduce my children to porn. Teach then sex ed. when they are old enough (depends on the individual child) but let them discover pron on their own. As the parent I would not let my child watch porn in my house but once they move out, I have no say. |

Porn is never something that is "allowed".
It's always done in secret until you leave your parent's house. |
