Ever had someone say to you, out of the blue:

"You're psychic."

and you go, "no i'm not."

and they say, "Yes. You are psychic."

Well, this conversation happened to me. Subsequent convo with this 'perp' involved quizzing me on what i know about circuit diagrams.

at any rate, unusual people aside, there are some who have gotten to believe people are experience something called "Synthetic Telepathy" or the surreptitious sending of voices to the brain as a way to mind control them.

Theres plenty on the net to read about, but this one persons account is most interesting. His name is Allen Barker and he is allegedly a doctor. Well, he ONCE had a website that I have NO idea where it went.

Its convincing because he doesnt just say, "I hear voices. And they tell me what to do. I swear".
In fact, he gives factual, credible testimony.

I have concluded from reading that Synthetic Telepathy is REAL and shady people are using it to either shape their idealistic ways in people, or doing research without consent.

Now, you cannot ignore the fact that "sick" people have used such excuses to kill. That is, they claim that SOMEONE TOLD THEM to kill. Many blame the voice of GOD. But, i'm now certain that the voices they hear may not have been their own or a cause of mental illness, but (perhaps) caused by this research or surreptitious use of SynthTel on them. Perhaps the research caused them to break, and ended up killing because they couldnt take the weirdness of it all.

So, do you think it could be? I do. It is possible to do so.

Most likely though it is just someones concious telling them what they should do. :wink:

I figure that there MIGHT be some sort of Synthetic Telepathy but it most likely comes from body lang. or something of that sort, I don't believe that you could transmit messages to another person.

You believe this stuff? I believe such a thing *could* happen, but it's in the far distant future, and people would have to get even more stupid to accept such a thing.
No, I think the bane of this society is reckless ignorance. Find me a gradeschooler that knows how to use a library anymore or read a book effectively (aloud or otherwise). There are very few of them now. Ignorance is bliss I guess?
