Just thought ide post these links courtesy of "HateWatch" who monitor United States news on hatecrimes.
The reason for this is because ive read posts that claim things like racism is dead, and theres no need for Affirmative Action and that everyone is treated equality.
Just wanted to show that, regardless of laws, people continue to spread their hate like its the plague.
Here's the pulse on Hates artery for this week:

Racism=hatred=ignorance
The really bad part is that people haven't bothered to open their twisted eyes and see the error of their ways: clearly we haven't learned from past experiences i.e. Civil Rights, slavery, the Holocaust |

| So... There are still racists in America? I'm not seeing where that's really discussion worthy. |

so dont discuss - and when you grow up and become a moderator, you can close this post. Of course there is no reason to other than your subjective opinion that there is no issue.

"SO" ... lol. kids.
I can remember taking a speech class in the early 80's and the instructor setting us up for speech assignments by saying "oh, and no more speeches on racism, that's so passe and I'm tired of listening to it". Or something along that line. Around that time, there was a KKK rally in NC that broke out into violence; it made the headlines. So, I did my speech on racism, just to spite her opinion.
The "oh, not the racism issue again" response has been going on for a very long time. And so has racism. |

Well, if I had been the instructor you would have gotten a 0 for not paying attention to the guidelines...... |

Who gives a s**t?
The word "hatecrime" is bulls**t. What's worse, someone killing someone else because they were insulted, or someone punching someone else because of their race?
Racism is about the most non-ignorant thing compared to some of the other s**t in America, and I really don't see anyone else bitching. |

To this I have to disagree. Its not that its a lesser societal issue, its still a big deal. Its the attitude that its a "lesser" societal issue that helps support racism and hate crimes (just look at demonic spoon's ignorance on it).
Other than that, yea I agree...I fear we are not going to end racism until we are all anglo-blasiantinos. |

(shrug)war, debt, crime, child abuse, pollution, decreased tranparency, corruption.........all these are WAY bigger issues. |

(sigh).....the crusades killed 200,000 people..........WW2 killed 80,000,000.
Both the Germans and Japanese phrased the conflict as a "race war".
so which is deadlier again? |

Guess how Hitler managed to get away with killing a whole bunch of people? Yup, that's right, he used religion to pacify his people for the Holocaust.
And the total casualties of the crusades were 9 million. Total deaths of WW2 were around 56 million, and religion shared fault for many of those deaths (Holocaust).. Besides, WW2 was partially (if not mostly) Britain and France's fault. Also subtract the death toll in the war vs the Japanese.
You also need to factor in that the world population in the Middle Ages was MUCH lower than it is today. 9 million people was a helluvalot more back than than it is now. |

And this makes religion responsible for the holocaust?
Dude, the holocaust was:
1. A race thing
2. Hitler being one crazy motherfuhrer (I <3 Family Guy) |

| Religion shared a part I said, I didn't say it was completely at fault. Hitler used religion to pacify the people. |
