This is a thread to all morons who say guns are killing people and causing violence.
Guns don't have feet, guns don't have brains, guns don't have intentions, its PEOPLE who kill PEOPLE, not GUNS!
This is a principle I learned form, are you ready, Chris Rock!
Yes, its very simple, forget Gun Control, we need Bullet Control! Bullets should cost $5,000 a piece! That way, there will be no innocent bystanders. And if someone dies, it must've been for a good reason, because no one saves up $5,000 to kill for fun!
But, on the more serious note, guns don't F*cking kill people! If little Johnny gets shot in the face, do you interrogate and arrest the gun? Sh*t no, you arrest little Jimmy who shot Johnny!
I hope you get the point!
The greater thing to worry about is society, and the promotion of violence through films and music. Control that and you control gun violence and violence all-together.
Canadians have easier access to guns than Americans, for one, but you don't hear about school shootings or mass murders up North, do you?

Guns do not kill people by themselves, this is self evident, but they exist as a means to destroy or at least hinder life. Guns were not invented as a means by which to progress life saving surgical techniques, clearly, they were invented and progressed largely by human conflict and as a means by which to effectively destroy the conflict by killing or at least definitively hindering the opposing force.
I personally don’t like guns and will never own one but I support the constitutional right to own them, however, to act as though guns don’t further the human ability to kill is rather pathological. |

I decided to read the rest of your post and am I reading that somehow films and music are to be blamed for Johnny's death but not the gun that was used to kill him?!?! Are you one of these morons who are claiming that films and music kill people?
Canada has plenty firearms but not the same ones than their southern neighbours because they don't believe in shooting people with handguns.
Canada just like we do here in Britain enjoy the same films and music than Americans do and yet...

More antics with semantics from Lucky Luke and his links. Can you just deal with the fact that you cannot criminalize an inanimate object, and instead focus on the reasons why people kill others with said objects?
Poverty, drugs, psychopathy, etc. How do you explain the Swiss and their gun ownership? They all have automatic weapons..are they mowing down people every chance they get? No.
Educate people on the use of firearms and the consequences of using them unjustly, and the rates will fall faster than if you "ban" them. People are just more gullible nowadays. If some rapper came on the radio in the 50's and proclaimed he was going to kill cops, people would be appalled. Now, cops aren't as honest, and people are more ruthless over things. I'd blame society and its irresponsibility before I'd blame some metal thing that shoots bullets when a human pulls the trigger. |

I could not care less about your metal things, handguns are used in the killing of more than half of all murders in the US. Anywhere else in the western democratic world handguns are used in less than 10% of all murders.
