| Scientology is a corporate religion that preys on weak minds and heavy wallets. It tricks people by conducting self-esteem seminars, claiming they know what causes stress and that they can cure all stress. Of course, to find out what causes stress, one must pay up and partake in strenuous exersizes, where they are secluded from the world and everyone they've ever known. When they have paid a sufficient amount, they might tell them aliens have placed devices in everyone's brains and that is what causes stress. By that time, they have them sufficently brainwashed with a major dent in their bank accounts. |

In Austin, right on Guadalupe Street there is a Scientology storefront with a shopping area and a classroom area. After seeing it there for so long and being a dumb kid like I was back then, a friend and I decided to go in there.
Me being the jackass I had to ask the question:
"Do you have a welfare or state voucher program?"
We were kicked out by their own in house private security. Heh.
Good times, good times. |
