Can anybody here that knows how to make Firefox plugins do me a favor?

This forum essentially has no ignore feature. The ignore feature is neutered to the point that it is worthless.

When you ignore someone, you still see their threads and when they post, the forum pesters you to unignore them by telling you every time they post.

What I'd like is a Firefox plugin where I can type in a username and it will erase that username's threads from appearing on my browser, in addition to getting rid of the persistent nonsense:
