Most "possessions" that I've seen (TV, basically) look like they are just cases of severe psychological problems (depression, mania, schizophrenia, obsessiveness, etc.).
They all seem to be tied together; one psychological problem can trigger others. This seems to lead to a total mental breakdown that some might construe as a "possession." |

Tough call. I tend to go on a case by case basis, examine facts, if it can't really be medically explained, then perhaps one can put a "?" next to it, and say for the mean time, its a possession.
Pastor of a church I went to was a Minister for the Colorado Springs, CO police department. He'd go onto crime scenes, say the Lords prayer, offer counselation, etc.
One such case was a husband that called in saying his wife was out of control, she was throwing knifes into walls, doors etc, and she was over turning furniture. According to how the story went, officers on the scene called for back up, took 4-5 men to restrain her because she was throwing 2-3 off with ease.
No medical history of drug use, or any substance abuse. Perhaps she was just strong? Hard to say, she was roughly 150 lbs, 24 year old, with a toddler living in the house.
My only guess was that maybe she was having a good day, she was keyed up and ready for action, and the husband didn't want to do any spring cleaning ;) j/k
But anyways, after they were able to restrain her and use a seditive to calm her, the minister arrived, and they said the toddler claimed a "blue" doggy was in his closet. The officers simply said they didn't want to go in there, and they had no clue what they had just scene.
I guess at this point I was in full belief because he was my pastor right? He was telling me, and a few other people this. What he saw next as he went down the hallway, was a blue impish figure that just strolled out of the room, looked at him and then quickly ran into the parent's adjacent room, and the minister left the house.
Im assuming since this was a real case, it was documented, one could probably go through the archives and find this. |

| Not saying that possession isn't possible, only that it's extremely rare and therefore extremely unlikely. |

Why do you think it's extremely rare? |
