I suppose this is the correct forum to ask this question.
What exactly qualifies a possession?
Let me give you an example,
We know this couple, lets refer to them and Jane and John, of which the wife is extremely hateful. Hateful really does explain it well enough, she's somewhere between the very edge of evil and hateful. "John" is a the exact opposite, the difference between the two are night and day. He is also totally blind in one eye and only has 15% vision in his other, he lost his vision to a brain tumor before we met him.
Jane does some of the most hateful things ever, we went to thier house for dinner and John comes into the house, and she opens the dishwasher door, which is in his path, and walks away. With knives sticking up out of the tray, my mom had to stop him from tripping on the door and falling into the knives. Why would you just open the door, walk to the other side of the kitchen and just watch as he almost trips into a tray of knives?
He said she does that all the time.
Jane also has hepatitis, she knows this, but she ignored the medical care available because she does not want to loose her fraudulent welfare check, pathetic eh? Willing to die for welfare check.
Any way, she offered my brother and I a piece of pie that she had just eaten off of...... why would a normal person do this?
Even doctors can;t fix her, they tried happy pills, didn't work. They doubled the happy pills, didn't work. Even the bird she gave us is very hateful, usually my mom can make friends with any animal, except this one.
There's a bunch of other things as well, but I don't feel like typing them all out.
So, is this a possession? Or just a very very very hateful person? |

| That's a good question. I tend to disbelieve all stories of possessed people, but the fact that they couldn't medicate her throws a monkey wrench into my tendencies. |

I think it's more common that we would like to think.
But I also know that women can be pretty darn mean. |

Just curious: Does she think she is 'normal' or does she do mean things on purpose? |

Oh, she also admitted to leaving two morphine pills in a candy dish at the gun store, about two weeks after the fact.
That is one of the more disturbing things she has done, and for such reasons we don't eat the food that comes out of that house.
I honestly think that if John wasn't so dependant on her, he would leave her without a second thought. He even calls over here and complains about her.... when she is in another room or shopping.

She does some things on purpose...... but for the most part, I have no idea what goes on in her head.
Edit: John says she does in fact know what she is doing, he says she goes out of her way to be mean and hateful. |

Possessed or not, anyone leaving morphine in a public candy dish is evil and criminal. I'd report her claims to the authorities. |

| Although I would hesitate to make a diagnosis based on very scarce evidence, this sounds a lot like Antisocial Personality Disorder. |

A very severe case of it. Still enough to be institutionalised. |

It would be difficult to get hauled away in a straight jacket without "John" knowing that we caused it. :-|
I think "John" is the main reason why she hasn't been hauled away, our FFL could have called the police about the morphine, but chose not to because of John. |

Just turn on the TV, flip through any channel and be weary of anything wearing outlandish clothing and big hair..."in the name of Jjjjjjjeeeeeesssssuuuuuuuuuuussssssssss!!!!!!!!!"
That is a textbook case of demonic possession, if there ever was one. |

Maybe she just wants John to fall on the knives so she can collect the life insurance.
Possessions, if they exist, are very rare. If people are truly evil, they are born evil. |

I hope that this doesn't turn out to be a tragic mistake in judgment. This woman is mentally ill and needs help, and John needs protection. OMG. |

He does need protection, I wish he would leave her. He's great to be around, but when she comes around, its just different.

Do you know who I'm talking about when I drop the name Benny Hinn? Has this man ever come over to you as anything but pure evil? |

I know who he is and have watched a little, mainly because he "slays in the Spirit" en masse. I've also read that he's tremendously successful financially. But it's not for me to judge who's truly "annointed."
Or try not to anyway. |

Thankfully, as a secular agnostic, I can say that I think he's full of s**t. |
