| Whenever I come to PCF, my username is always logged out despite the fact that I check "log me in automatically each time." Usually I never have to log in, but now I'm having to log in like every 2 to 3 times I visit. :( Why? |

I do. But that's your problem. I think you can set it up so it won't delete passwords when you delete your cookies/history, but you'll still have to hit the button. |

Well it's not like I delete them everyday. Maybe once a week/two weeks. And it's not that it deletes the passwords or my username. It just logs me out and clears the username/password boxes so I have to type in an "L" and then my username pops up and so does the password then I have to press log in. It's just a nuisance and I'm lazy! |

You probably broke the thingy that connects to the you know what then ... which basically means you're screwed.
Maybe someone who even understands why they call them cookies will come in and explain it all. |

That happens to me too. And I hardly ever clear my cookies, so that variable is not it. |

Do you have your browser set so that it automatically deletes your cookies when you close it? |

I've had this problem too, though I clear my cookies out regularly and had always attributed it to that.
Haven't taken a look at PFc's cookie specifically, but it might have an expriation flag in there. That would, of course, mean that it happens to nearly everyone at one time or another.
Similar to eBay though obviously not as frequent. Happens 'bout once a month for me.
eh, just a thought. Surely the developer of PCF could tell us how he has the cookies set up. |

Go to Control panel, then Internet Options
Go to Privacy. What's it at? If it is pretty high up there, that may be causing it.
To solve it, either lower it, or put PCF in your Trusted Sites.
Click on Security, then Trusted Sites, and hit the Sites button.
add http://www.politicalcrossfire.com to your trusted sites.
As a side note...
Get into the political forums and out of the lounge, you loungewhore. Don't make me come up there... \/ \/ |
