All this big talk coming from someone who thinks Halo is the best game ever and that Xbox is better than PC. All this coming from the guy who can't deal with the facts... |

Its incredibly easy to level in this game. Just rotate out of rest EXP. 2 hours a day isnt bad. Most people watch like 4 hours of TV. I dont watch any TV really, and when I do its either Cspan, the history channel, or the military channel.
I never found it easy to level past, say, around level 30. It gets harder and harder, and if you are mainly solo, as I prefer, it's real tough. 3 60's is amazing....that's ALOT of playing, or months of that 2 hours a day regimen. That's just my experience. Some quests at the higher levels TAKE 2 hours just to complete. I don't join guilds until I level out fairly high, that way I don't just jump at the first offers and once I get high enough I can then pick and choose which guilds I want to be in and let them persue ME, lol.
But IMO levelling past 30 is'nt very "incredibly easy" unless you have loads of time to spend on it.
I have 30 60s and if I recall about 8 30s (I made one of each for each faction... one 60 is horde, other two are alliance).
I found leveling in groups to be key for my last 60. Priest though :)
Some people....and I'm not saying you do this....merely level up by grinding. They never actually really quest, they just find some good grind spot where the creeps respawn quickly and they grind away til they level up. I've seen so many level 60's that are ridiculously aqnd pathetically under-equipped.....all green stuff much less blue or epic. But they got to 60, so to them, I guess that's what counts? Even though if they decide to have a duel with some 60 who actually spent time in the dungeons or questing, they get killed by one blow lol.
Groups are great if you can find a decent one. There's alot of them there that seem to just want to use people to get what they want out of it and leave you high and dry with an expensive armor repairing bill, needing on anything that drops even if their character can't use them. Sometimes I can spend entire nights looking for a decent group that wants to go into the same instances I need to go in. And guilds only work when everyone in them is online and together, which for me and my schedule, is a rarity. And as far as instances go, ones like RFD can take at least 2 hours to complete even with a decent group of tanks and healers all working in perfect cooperation with each other.
Maybe I'm just not that experienced with groups and guilds. I just know that once i get a character beyond 30 or 40 the sheer amount of XP that's needed to level again is outrageous. Most people I know with decently equipped 60's have spent close to a year playing the game to get there, that's if they are'nt the types who have no life and just stay at home playing WoW every minute of the day, in which case yes, you can level up fairly fast that way.
Once a person does get at least one character to 60, getting another one to that level is easier since you already know and have been through alot of the best instances and you know where all the rare and epic drops are at and how to get to them. But that first 60 is a b**** for anyone to get without the help of a veteran player to guide them through some of it, or buying WoW gold on e-bay to buy epics in the AH lol.
You sound like one hell of a player though. :-D Congrats. |

Well my alliance are in a guild that's starting AQ40 so, I think I have a pretty good group. The horde is on ZG, AQ20 and MC, so it's not quite as good and I find it tiresome to deal with...
I was not busy last summer; I had nothing else to do... since then its been basically raiding a few days a week which ain't bad.
Between 30-40 it takesabout 4hrs each level to level. 40-50, 5-6. 50-60, 6-8hrs. each level. Not bad. What is pissing me off more I think of it is I have to level upagain, and I don't want to do that with the expansion. Plus my Netherwind and Nemesis (well, mostly Felhart ATM) is pretty useless after about level 65....:( |

| That's surprising. I knew WoW held the lion's share of subscriptions, but was'nt aware it was that much. I'm really surprised that Everquest for example holds such a small percentage, I know ALOT of people who play that game religiously, (mostly it's called Evercrack around here lol)unless it's just lost it's share of the market recently due to WoW's expansion. |

WoW killed Everquest and eventually something else in the future will kill WoW. |

If WoW does'nt finally soon fix their server problems, it might happen sooner than later. The lag is ludicrous at times, and that's not when the servers are'nt just simply down for the count.
And what's up with their ridiculous downloader?? It does'nt work, no matter what. I had to D/L the new patch from another site and most everybody else I've talked to had to as well.
They need to stop buying their servers at the dollar store and hiring 17 year olds to code.
edit; Now if you'll exccuse me, I have some ally butt to gank. :P  |

This one guy in my guild has 9 60's, one of each Horde class and an alliance character.
He makes me feel much better about myself  |

We're on AQ in my alliance guild (60mage & lock), MC in my horde (60 priest). I doubt I will play much on that priest until BC comes out anyway... just level up and then raid... changes it all... |

Pretty soon all games will be this way, the future of PC gaming is server based instead of stand alone discs. That way they can control piracy.
There are plenty of stand alone games out there and always will be. The difference being with WoW is it's a online interactive RPG. RPG's are'nt for everyone, and that's why games like Doom become so popular. I don't think it has anything to do with piracy control. If a person does'nt want to play an inetactive RPG with other players, there are tons of other non-server based games one can choose from, some with highly popular followings.
I agree with Gnostic. Those that arn't mmo's are going to be like halflife and require an internet connection and validation.

Yeah..like I said Im an officer in my guild, and were trying to figure out what adjustments were going to have to make when BC hits. We are the oldest guild on the server, so I think we can get through it, but my guild boards have been having pretty heated debates over the last week..Takes time away from here debating :P |

Of course alliance PVE is easy mode.
Palidin = Best Buff Class in game, best dispell ability in game, great mana regen. and most efficient healers in game.
Shamen = Broken buff system, worthless buffs (stoneskin, wind wall), crappy dispelling, no mana regen, and the least efficient healers in the game.
Now pallies were supposed to be the PVE class and shamen the PvP class. But with pally buffs and shamen nerfs that went away a long time ago.
Oh yeah and
Alliance Tank: Stance Dance? Whats that? |

QQ --- BC BE PALLY LFG HELLFIRE CITADEL
I've 20 manned Ony plenty of times with no dwarven priests and thetank had to stance dance. It's easier, yeah, but yourtanks have WF to maintain aggro so get over it. In BC it'll be the same so get over it. I've played both and pally buffs arenice but not necessary.
If you excuse me I have some AQ20 to get to -- with no pallys (or shamen). |

Yup exactly the same... oh, except for that little 2 year head start the Alliance Paladins have. Now if you would've said a year after BC it'll all be the same, then you'd be right ;)
