israel has prooved to of rather dumb leadership, underestimating the islamic resistance's capabilities. and i being a lebanese my self believe me when i tell that hizbullah have got weapons that israel would never even dream of.
and if israel is prooving to be even dumber by provoking the syrians whom in turn will provoke the iranians. and if israel isn't able to handle hizbullah which have some iranian weapons, how could she handle iran it self ?? |

| i agree; they are already involved. perhaps this is a way to divert attention off of them and the nuke issue. besides, where would hezbollah get the rockets and isnt the head of hezbollah an agent of iran? |

| It would be smart for the Iranians to stay out of it. To stay out of it keeps attention away from their nukes program, that's for sure, but taking a more direct role would put the US into the conflict. Nevertheless, Iran is already very much involved in this. |

I'm no fan of any Israeli government to date. The nearest I came to being was Yitzhak Rabin & Ehud Barrack governments, only because they both made a real attempt to come to some peace. Yitzhak was killed by Zionist nutters, surprise surprise  and IMO Barrack was always looking over his shoulder for the Israeli right, who played opposition politics and castigated him for conceding too much. But don't let that delude you into believing that Israel could'nt squat Syria or Iran. Yes it would cost a unforeseen amount of lives on her side, but never the less it would be done. |

I thought the same way.
One thing I don't get; why is it the sharonites love lebanon so much? It's like they can't stay away from the place. |

| Nico, "sharonites"? A state of Israel was attacked by another state. They will get a war back for this. Just like any country would. But, then, what would New Zealand know about situation here? |

Well I can say why we like Lebanon Nico, discarding the Sharonites part. The reason is it's one of the few countries that dislikes the Palestinians and their organizations as much as we do and have been in conflict with them.
Before this if you went to Lebanon you'd find a pretty cold mood to both the Palestinians and us among the average Lebanese. And equality in dislike for us is still a gain in our part in any Arab country. Sad is at may be. |

Personally, I wouldn't mind Iran blowing the hell out of the Palestinians and the Israelis all at once. Once the radiation drops to tolerable levels, Iran should erect a sign which says:
"This will happen to you, whether you are Arab or Jew, if you provoke Iran." |

We are a nation of people who have a culture of travel. You'd be surprised what I know.
As for Israel being attacked by Lebanon, I would say this is remarkably disingenuous. At best you have a beef with hezbollah, do what you will with that and stop trying to turn Beirut into rubble every ten years. |

No, I agree with you. however it only lends weight to why palestinians need their state set in concrete. They have been passed around like a hot potato because they don't come from the places they have problems living in. You are where they used to be and neighbors only tolerate having them visit for a short time. I like my brothers, but I and they, can only cope with each other for a set amount of time.
History is just a never ending string of people being pushed into different places and the conflict that goes with that. the mongols push the persians, the persians push the byzantines etc etc. israel has to take care of the Palestinian issue with brains instead of muscle for once. |

i think iran will end it if the US stops bargaining it with demands of stopping their nuclear thing.....
what is happening doesn't show that anything good will happen soon.... |

can't you see the dimensions of such an act from israel
as you might have heard some syrian sites were hit by israeli air crafts , and thats not good news
if syria gets involved so will iran, therefore usa, and britain, then comes russia , north korea , china ...
WORLD WAR 3???!! |

Nico,
You are entitled to your opinion, but I was angered at your tone. Now, you like to travel? I don't want to look stupid in the discussion, so what do you know about Israel first-hand?
Also, Israel was attacked by a state, not by a terrorist group. Hezbollah has parliament members and a Minister in Lebanese government. Like I've said a hundred times before, Lebanese gov't knew Hezbollah attacked Israel and did nothing. So is it our fault? We were attacked by Hezbollah for years - even since total withdrawal from Lebanon.
So, there are innocent people killed? That's what happens in a war, mate. We have our killed and injured too. It is time for Lebanese people to stop supporting Hezbollah, then there will be no need to attack Lebanon. |

In St. Petersburg, Russia, President Bush decided to join the world leaders to knock some sense into Israel. This is what Mr. Bush had to say, "Our message to Israel is, look, defend yourself but as you do so be mindful of the consequences, so we've urged restraint." He also blamed all this on Hezbollah. Our beloved country also blamed Hezbollah for the whole situation.
WHAT THE f**k? YOU IDIOTS! YOU ****! YOU Kitty Cats! YOU BASTARDS!! This is ISRAEL we're talking about! ISRAEL! It's killing innocent civilians! Men, women and CHILDREN! OH MY GOD! I don't give a flying f**k about their intentions (Defending themselves my ass), but kill innocent children? And Bush says that they have the RIGHT to DEFEND themselves? Defend themselves by bombing tourist places and killing not only Lebanese civilians but also tourists! Let's not forget, killing CHILDREN! Oh I see the threat! A 10-year-old boy sleeping in his bed is VERY dangerous! Let's bomb the s**t out of him and make sure he dies! |

Quite obviously most uf us disagree than Israel is guilty of anything at the moment. We were attacked, and we will destroy them, and unfortunatly in war civilians will always be caught in the crossfire. |
