I'm very sure everyone knows what a snake is and what they look like. So I just wanna know what people think about snakes. Are they cool, are they evil, do you not care, something.

I'll start off by saying I'm a huge snake geek.

I have an awesome respect bordering on fear for poisonous snakes, however, I'm brave enough and knowledgeable enough to ID nonpoisonous snakes, and I leave them alone.

to those who say they know enough to identify poisonous ones, beware, i have heard rumors that snakes are crossbreeding, and that poisonous rattlesnakes have been found with slick tails (no rattles)
the reported source was a game warden, but it was not me who spoke with him, it was my dad

as far as i am concerned, i will avoid snakes in the wild, but if they are in my yard i will kill them
did you know cats eat snakes, we have several cats who leave their scent around, they are too lazy to chase a snake, but the snake doesnt know that

Yay Australia - home to 6 species of deadly snake. :)

Did you know that a King brown will chase you down during certain times of the year, ie. most of it? You dont hear much about it though, most people just arent fast enough....

PS. Im all for snake conservation and Steve Irwin is a champion.

I absolutely love snakes, in fact i have a rosy boa. The funny thing is that even though the snake is only 2 feet long and non-poisonous one my friends swears he'll kill it if it gets near him. I'm kinda wanting a bigger snake however........for totally non-threatening reasons of course
