|
|
A recent Pew Research Foundation poll called “The Great Divide: How Westerners and Muslims View Each Other” reveals Muslims have a proclivity to conspiracy theories, support terrorism, specifically Osama bin Laden.
"Support for terrorism: All the Muslim populations polled display a solid majority of support for Osama bin Laden. Asked whether they have confidence in him, Muslims replied positively, ranging between 8 percent (in Turkey) to 72 percent (in Nigeria). Likewise, suicide bombing is popular. Muslims who call it justified range from 13 percent (in Germany) to 69 percent (in Nigeria). These appalling numbers suggest that terrorism by Muslims has deep roots and will remain a danger for years to come." (Daniel Pipes “How Muslim Think”, summary of poll findings http://www.danielpipes.org/article/3706)

sometimes good. sometimes bad. never trust these kind of people. but they seem better than fatih.
but still the poll sounds wrong, because as far as i know all muslims that i have had contact with seem disliking everything happening in the middle east and wishing it to end as soon as possible, including me. |

Quote: In not one Muslim population polled does a majority believe that Arabs carried out the attacks of September 11, 2001, on America. The proportions range from a mere 15% in Pakistan holding Arabs responsible, to 48% among French Muslims. Confirming recent negative trends in Turkey, the number of Turks who point the finger at Arabs has declined to 16% today from 46% in 2002. In other words, in every one of these 10 Muslim communities, a majority views September 11 as a hoax perpetrated by the American government, Israel, or some other agency.
 seriously?
btw.....Pew polls are usually pretty good. |

Many Muslims support Bin Laden politically, but many could care less. Bin Laden is an ass, and most Muslims don't care about him.
Hamas is a political party, and their stance has to date been moderated. Also, the majority of Muslims lie in the Far East, and none of them have been consulted in this poll. This poll is flawed: support for Bin Laden does not necessarily equal support for terrorism, and support for Israel does not necessarily equal support for "counter-terrorism". |

Exactly bro... polls are used to be very concrete on YES/NO base; it's unfair not to hear the whole story.
Remember, once Ben Laden been American hero? |
