According to other people with the same problem you have....... no.

You can give it a whirl, it's not going to hurt anything, at worst it will do nothing.

You can try it.

Back up all of your important files and make sure you have all the drivers and program disks that you need.

Thats probobly the best bet.

this looks like one of those pain in the can problems.

not bad enough to total a system but just bad enough to make you want to pull your hair out.

Well since you're going to have him do it you might as well try it yourself and if you screw it up it doesn't matter. Seriously, it's not rocket science and will come in handy in the future.

Well since you're going to have him do it you might as well try it yourself and if you screw it up it doesn't matter. Seriously, it's not rocket science and will come in handy in the future. Trust me i'll make it worse and I don't want him to take any longer and charge me more.
