| Does anybody know of any stealth-based games other than Splinter Cell? I just finished Splinter Cell, and I'm deciding whether I should be the next SC game or try a different series. |

Psi-ops was an very original stealth based game that did not get a lot of marketing but was very well received by the critics and was a blast to play.
Basically unlike most stealth games where you feel week. You were a psychic god bursting the heads of those mundane meat puppets. Great game. |

Although MGS and Psi-ops both have stealth elements, Niether is really a stealth game.
Psi-ops is a great game that didn't get nearly enough attention, If you haven't played it, do yourself a favor and go and buy it for 10 bucks (toss a guy into some gears for me).
If you really liked splinter cell, try the 3 and newest one. Expecially if you have x-box live and like having your neck snapped my 13 year olds. |

Psi-Ops is a stealth game. You just are very very powerful and when worse comes to worse you can fry your enemies with pyrokinetic fire. Although once you figure out the drag-n-pop the game gets too easy. |

hey if you dun mind cheezy graphics (due to the games age) try Thief the Dark Project, this is a first person "sneeker" and it was a killer game. Also there's a new Thief game out but my current laptop won't run it. If you have good video card you may want to check it out. Thief Deadly Shadows is the new joint.
Also there's Socom Navy Seals for PS2, that is a great game for sneaking up on the bad guys...
Hitman is the most like splinter cell however. Excellent series
cheers! |

| F.E.A.R is a very good game, only slightly stealthy but excellent none the less. |

The thief games are awesome (Theif 3 has 1 of the most scariest levels ever produced for a game), and all of them are completable without killing anyone if you want to go for the hardcore stealth approach.
ermm......
You can play the Deus Ex games in a stealth manner although they're not really stealth games per se.
The hitman games are really good stealth games if you try and get the Silent Assassin rating for every mission (Hitman 2 and the latest 1 Bloody Money are the best in my opinion, Contracts was ok).
The Metal Gear Solid games are also nicely stealth based.
The tenchu (ninja games) for the PS1 and PS2 can be played stealthly too.
Oblivion is also a stealth game if you choose to play it that way, I know I do. I go around sneaking everywhere and putting arrows in people's backs from range, or just sneaking past people and stealing things to get to my objectives.
The alien vs predator games are quite stealthy if you play as the predator or the alien (more so the alien).
That's all I can think of at the moment, will post more later. Sorry if any have been mentioned already, I don't have time to read the whole thread before I go home :!oops: . |

Thanks for all the suggestions! Don't worry about re-mentioning things. It just helps solidify them as great stealth games. :) |
