Since Australia has gained independence, shouldn't it cut all ties with britian?

It doesn't need to cut "all ties" with Britain. Keep the whatever trade agreements, merge the commonwealth with the EU for all I care.

But it is about time to cut the queen and all the royalism thing out. Symbolic yadda yadda as it might be. And so should Britain.
It's ridiculus, for this age and era to say that some individuals are born as a special elite.
