We have the most freedoms, the most power, the most military, the biggest land mass. We also have the highest average IQs and our cars are better for the environment.
This is why America should rule the world. Because we are the best. Maybe if these communist countries stop killing our soldiers and blowing themselves up we can get some stuff done but we have to finish the job in Iraq or freedom won't prevail.
many people might not like us taking them over but it is best for them in the long run jebronees. |

i always hear these things like, "we have this and we have that"
but have any of you who spout those words ever lived in another country? visited another country? left your state?
heres a couple things about other countries that I would like to see in america:
- longer vacations. Europeans enjoy more days of vacation. In one instance, the Swiss enjoy 6 weeks of vacation per year! http://itotd.com/articles/351/work-week-and-vacation-variances/
- free college education in some european countries.
So america is really not that great. Not as great as you seem to insist. But, I urge to visit other nations, at least, before having your opinion. |

Heil Amerika!!
In all seriousness MasturDebater (wasn't that a funny joke in like 6th grade??), Americans don't have the highest average IQ, the Israelis do, and our cars are better for the enviornment? Okay, well for starters, I would like you to go to Europe and find and F-350 cruising down the road, look for a Ranger, Dakota, and Tacoma. You won't find them, for the reason that they are some of the most innefficient vehicles being produced.
And way to go troll...America is one of many. Ever heard the phrase "To each his own"? Communism died with the fall of the USSR, have you taken a general social studies class yet? Hey, wake up. Name one soldier killed by a communist rival in the last year, two years, five years? No that's a nonsequiter if I ever saw one. American soldiers, the last I heard, are only being killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. By the way Master...freedom is the state most saught by man, and therefore, is inevitable. It would have come to Iraq in time anyways.
Hmm...Master, again have you ever taken a general history course?? Look what happened to Rome, you'll find all your answers there when it comes to America taking over the world.

...please, try to be informed before you become opinionated. |

If people quit blowing us away we would have no incentive for change, and one fact you can take to the bank is that all change is an attempt at problem solving. Those Americans with no problem are the problem because they are the ones getting the rest murdered, and the ones most diligent at making the world hate us. People come here looking for the pot of gold and the land of opportunity and find we are like a ball room ball: all sparkly on the outside and empty within. We have shot our wad. We have nothing of morality to offer the world. Our slogans of democracy and freedom are a part of the myth that motivates us, and blinds us to our failure to afford the blessings of liberty in this land where everything has a price. We lived in a great land blessed with resources. We had an economic system that rewarded innovation and invention, We once had a democracy that supplied enough of our needs for injustice to be kept off of our throats. All of that is in the past, and our great days are behind us. I am not living in the past, and I do not recommend that course. All that is great about America is meant to be shared with the world, and all that has been shared is the myth, the American Dream. For freedom and justice to ever be reliable in this country they must be the common property of all people in this world. Injustice anywhere, and we have plenty here, is a threat to all people everywhere. Our revolution was never about making us the best country; but the first country to be free in a world enslaved. How far have we fallen short of that goal? |

A quick comparison. Some have turned out better for us, but some haven't.
Rome:
Invaded the Mid East-Failure.
Invaded Europe-Successful.
Invaded Germany-Ended up conquered.
Forced there way of life on the world-The world turned on them.
Destroyed the Roman Republic.
Overthrew a king for democracy.
America:
Invaded the Mid East-Failure.
Invaded Europe-Successful.
Invaded Germany-Failed to finish the job and had to do it again.
Forced there way of life on the world-The world turned on them.
Destroyed the American Republic.
Overthrew a king for democracy.
While some turned out good for both of us, some haven't and as you all know, Rome fell. America is next if something isn't done and done fast. |

Very good analogy, however, is that analogy even relevant in today's age? Rome didn't send people to the moon, it didn't send people to tbe bottoms of the oceans. It didn't have the communications systems that America has today, and it's society tolerated self-indulging power-hungry leaders because of this. Tome did some great things as well, and it also did some very terrible things. However, comparing the two is like comparing pears and apples. Without looking at the whole they may seem the same. For example:
A pear-
Has a stem
has a skin
has a core
grows from a tree
rots when it dies
An apple-
Has a stem
has a skin
has a core
grows from a tree
rots when it dies
See what I mean? |

Ah, I was expecting more of a reactionary response then it actually really warranted. |

Should I rule my country because I'm the best? Or... how about democracy?

I do not see that comming soon. To solve that problem, people would need to hang posters with no images saying in a language everybody can understand, "The Koran condems killing!". To get everybody to do something in the Middle East, you have to use Islam, because that is everything overthere. This has been proven throuought history.
MasturDebater wrote: many people might not like us taking them over but it is best for them in the long run jebronees. You are saying that democracy is good for countries. Look at Mexico that became a democracy because of the USA. Corruption is as important to Mexico as Tacos. Kids bribe their teachers to give them good grades, adults bribe policemen to not give speeding tickets, and companies bribe politicians to cut taxes to the wealthy.
Cuba was a democracy untill corruption destroyed it. Fidel Castro took power and hinders free speech, brainwashes students at school, and established a police state. Why did all the Cubans in Miami leave Cuba?
Damn Fidel Castro to hell |

I've traveled to a lot of other countries and all over the USA and I can only come to one conclusion: there is no other country I'd rather live in (except maybe Canada, Spain would be cool too). But I do agree with you on the above; I'm for longer vacations and free college education definitely! And I wouldn't mind seeing more of those European-sized cars here in the USA (death to hummers!). |

I think a few americans need to stop watching Fox News, get a passport and meet some of the rest of the world you like to preach to. We often watch Fox news AS A JOKE. its reporting is more outrageous than the comedy channel. After experiencing the American media I can understand the attitutudes of so many americans.
BTW - the fuel consumption of the average american car hasnt changed since the T-model Ford. |

"America" isn't a country, it's a landmass consisting of two continents. The two continents were named after Amerigo Verspucio, an Italian. Please, get an atlas.
"Freedom" is such a subjective word. Still, some actions or ideas are considered more in tune with freedom than others. One nation ruling over all the others isn't exactly my idea of a free world or freedom as an idea. Those who want to bring "democracy" to the world surely must realise that imperialism isn't democratic. Freedom can't be won through force. Gunpoint "liberation" isn't the definition of freedom to me. I would choose to believe that most people don't define freedom that way. Most people also don't define wire tapping, being arrested because you're "suspicious", madatory DNA testing and police beating up protesters as freedom. I don't think that Patriot Act 1 and 2 are hallmarks of freedom. Neither do I think Guantanamo Bay, Bagram airbase or Abu Ghraib are in any way hallmarks of freedom.
The US has a smaller landmass than both Russia and Canada.
The US cars on average consume more petrol (gasoline) than European cars. On average, people in European countries use less petrol per capita than people in the US. The EU imports less oil than the US, yet the EU has a combined population of approximately 470 million people while the US has nearly 300 million people.
Highest IQs? It is believed that the Ashkenasi Jews have the highest IQs on average, while Thais and Japanese people are the best educated and get the best grades in school. I believe they did a test on the "national intelligence" in the world, and Thailand, Japan and other Asian countries were on the top, with Norway on 5th place, and the US further down on the list (10th or 15th place, I think).
BTW, China has the most military. The US is a dwarf when it comes to pure numbers. |

Woohoo socialism!!!
The amount of benefits within scandanavias socialist economy dont outweigh the price. Scandanavia has one of the slowest rates of growth within the developing world. Also scandanavias taxes are far and way the highest in europe. We can't even begin to talk about freedom till you confront the idea that you are not free until you own your check book. |
