Quote: Amen....Dark matter and Dark energy also balance everything out. One pulling and one pushing! Very ignorant theory.

I'm simply trying to explain why you can't go forward or backward in time. You can't get to the prize until you get past the packaging. Maybe you have your mind set that you can go forward and backward in time. If so .........Put a label on yourself that says

QUACK

I think I'm finished here. I've got better things to do.

TROLL

Obviously, he didn't catch the sarcasm, the link was provided to show irony in the contrast. Too bad. I think anyone with a brain would have caught that. He must have missed the invisible <sarcasm> tags.

I wonder if he caught that one... or if he's busy looking up <sarcasm> on google.

And is wasn't a troll because it had points. A rant isn't a troll unless it is ONLY a rant.

The above was a troll.

However, if all time was seperated on different time continuums then you could not change 'your time line' but perhaps could you change the time line of other time continuums? 8:)

That is sort of the idea. You change your parallel time line.

There are two scenarios described by theorists: open continuity and closed continuity time travel. In open continuity, going back to change the past either alters the future, creating paradoxes, or branches off new time lines as described by Stephen Hawking. In closed continuity time travel, you don't go back and change history, you only complete it. Thus, you might plan to go back and kill your father when in fact you kill the wrong man by mistake, or your gun jams, or you get scared at the last minute. Or, you go back thinking you're changing history when in fact the person you kill was to be killed by you all along.
