In the Politics & Government forum, I hate it. I tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist with spelling and grammar, but I'm also impulsive, so I'll tend to type things incorrectly, then go back and edit it. But I don't like having those "edit" lines, because it looks shady if I've made 4 or 5 edits (which might happen). Dunno. I just don't like it.

I've also noticed that it's just in the Politics & Government forum, I think. I edited a post in the Religion forum and there was no such tagline.

Furthermore, I've noticed you've recently taken away the delete feature.

What's with all of these changes? Have trolls been playing games with you guys? I.E., posting porn for a few seconds, then editing it out or deleting the post?

If you edit your post before someone responds, you don't get the edited tagline. If you edit your post AFTER someone has responded, you get the edited tagline.

Patriot is correct.

If you have to go back many times and edit, I've always found it helpful to put:

Edit: Grammar (or spelling error) or something of that nature... your reason for making the edit.

As far as the "delete" feature? It works the same (I believe) as the edit button. If you chose to delete your post after someone has replied after you, then it won't let you.

As far as I'm aware, there have been NO changes to the features of this site.

Edit: Added content.

The delete feature is there. But you have to use it before the next post is added.

Edit: If you delete your post while someone has quoted it, but not yet posted, it is still gone, though the quote remains in the other post.
Throws them off abit

It's a way of being able to stop people from changing what they said ... for the same reason you dislike it.
