When a foreigner mentions the reason for the gun ban in the UK, as being about that psychopath who murdered a classroom, I can't help but imagine that the event happened because of rabid anti-gunners (or communists) who wish to make a point. Its entirely possible that the man who did that, did it with the mind of getting guns banned. I also think the same thing might have been going in with the DC sniper duo. I mean its not as if the communists haven't show in the past their willingness to murder people en masse.

It's a possibility. Odd one of them chose to defend himself.

Fuuny too, that drunk driving homicides never inspire people to want to get rid of cars or alcohol. Cell phones never inspire people to not use them while driving. Ice picks don't get any attention either. Just guns.

They simply do not believe in freedom or personal responsibility. The want gov to be mommy and daddy.

We have different views on some things LNRW... but on this subject, we're certainly on the same page.

Actually, drunk driving homicides do inspire people to want to get rid of alcohol.

There is a group of mothers in my community , that is activly trying to remove alcohol from the community. There are groups trying to get laws passed making it illegal to talk on the cell phone while driving.

Talking on the cell phone while driving is stupid. Drinking and driving is stupid. There will always be a next stop for the people that wish to ban personal responsibility.

Maybe those people should work on banning stupidity and deal with the root of the problem.

I don't really think we are so far apart. I think we are far more similar than we are different.

And thank you kindly.
