I'm not trying to silence you. I'm pointing out how misguided many of your ideas are.

It's part of the "zionist" agenda. :lol:

I don't see that Y'shua asked the man to abandon his duty. Paul and Peter both are explicit in their directions about how Christians should obey authority. An important part of Christianity is adherence to duty, even in wartime. Christians are needed on the battlefield to testify, just like they are needed everywhere else. Christians are supposed to influence the world every where they go.

If the authority is clearly evil, like say the Nazis where, we are to say no and accept the consequences. Not take up the sword and fight it.

thanks :-D in your mind though what would Jesus say about a Christian joining the military in order to fight a clear and alien tyranny, like say joining up in 42 to fight the Nazis?

:tu: you figure the command to submit to authority is a way to keep the church from getting corrupted by politics? :-|

Like I said, read those chapters carefully for more insight. I will point out something interesting to get you started, though.

This is a prayer that Daniel made that is recorded in chapter 4
Quote: 21 "It is He who changes the times and the epochs;

He removes kings and establishes kings;

He gives wisdom to wise men

And knowledge to men of understanding.

22 "It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;

He knows what is in the darkness,

And the light dwells with Him.

23 "To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,

For You have given me wisdom and power;

Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,

For You have made known to us the king's matter."

Pay special attention to what he says in the prayers he recorded for us. And other prayers throughout the scripture, as well.

Also, consider the cases of Joseph and Daniel. Both sold into slavery, but instead of rebelling against this injustice and the authority who brought this injustice forth they served to the best of their ability and became extremely influential in the respective cultures that enslaved them. The second most powerful men in the nation in both cases.

What inference can you make from that?

If you are righteous God will do this. Then you are a testimony to His power and grace. And the human race constantly need this testimony.

We tend to forget quickly.

What part of rarely are you having trouble understanding?
The part where I asked HOW MANY HOURS EACH DAY is the TV set on in your house.

The question has a quantitative answer.. like 5, or 3 and half, etc..

I do not watch TV each day. Probably 2-3 hours a week, if I watch a movie.

Are you happy now? What does that have to do with anything?

OK, you watch TV for 2-3 hours a week..

But, HOW MANY HOURS EACH DAY IS THE TV ON IN YOUR HOUSE? How many hours do your wife or kids spend watching TV each day?

Toilet bowl flushing frequency has not (yet) been scientifically proven to be statistically correlated to whether or not an individual is being subjected to and manipulated by government-sponsored propaganda and mind control.

With television, there is a statistical correlation.. :wink:

Do you think that propaganda and mind control has it's source in the government?.
