Do you even follow the links on there? Links to the UN? Links to the lady in Canada who talked to the lady? Is it easier to disregard this lady's destiny than step up and voice out? This isn't about one website and it's truth or not, because on that same site there are links to the story on CNN...or is CNN also unbelievable? The story is about a lady sentenced to death for defending herself from rape. I guess if it had been your sister you would probably have a different viewpoint, but since it isn't...well it is easier to say "let her hang". Sad...really sad. |

Give me a link with this article in CNN or BBC...Infact, there was an article not too long ago on CNN with a message from the Canadian national post apologizing for posting "propaganda" against Iran.
If this article IS true, you must take it into perspective. Capital punishment (correct me if i am wrong) is promoted in Iran...So there is nothing wrong with condeming a killer to death. She killed...and that's it, you'd even be punished in the u.s but not with such dire consequences. |

Ye of little faith. Try this link and click on the "Watch clip @ CNN". If you feel it in your heart, why not click on the petition and sign it. Who knows, you might just be part of a movement to spare her life. But, that is a decision between you and your concious.

If she had killed a man because of circumstances other than defending from a rape, I would agree with you. But, given that at the time she was 17 and her two choices were to kill the agressor or lay back and let three men rape her and her 16 year old niece, I think she made the right decision. Maybe, had she been raped and got pregnant, they could have stoned her for having sex out of wedlock...much better don't you think? |

| You guys are busting the bubble of some folks here who want to dismiss this as nothing but rhetoric and a made up story. Real life does sometimes want people to simply dismiss it. Especially if it goes against their political belief. |

can you please gimme the direct link to bbc...cause i can't find it.
I don't think she should be killed...i said that according to Iranian law...she has is being rightfully executed. But i do not agree with the government, nor do i with the girl's actions. Instead of hunting these men down, she could have informed the authorities.... |

I don't think there's a BBC story. There is however a google Save Nazanin page, and an Amnesty International page.
I don't think she hunted the men down so much as killed one of the men during the incident.
It will reflect badly on Iran if they execute her. While googling for a BBC story I found an article from 2004 about a death sentence they overturned for another woman who killed a rapist. Why can't they do the same here? |
