For example; I am right now on this site typing, and want to open my favorites lisdt, and hit a selection, and it comes up in new window. Right now ,it changes this window to the selection . Any help is appreciated . Thank you! |

Right click on the link and select "open link in a new window".I think that should do what you're asking for.
Or you could upgrade. |

I agree. If needlessly wasting system resources and browsing the web slower than you have to is your thing, then have at it. But if you want an all around superior web browsing experience:
Get Opera |

Unless your running an old 486 or just hate using graphics in a graphic world I wouldn't use Opera.
Yes its a little faster on slower systems but does it actually make the internet go faster for you?
Opera is for minimalists. And if your that much of a minimalist just go without any graphics.
BTW this is me just fanning an already flame thread. |

| Opera has difficulty with graphics? I was thinking of trying it, but if that's the case, there is no need for me to, since I like heavy graphics. |

He was talking about what the browser looks like, not how it handles graphics ( at Pzatchok). Even that is BS, as you have to restart that other inferior browser to change themes which is unacceptable imo. Opera 4evar!!!! |

FLAME ON!!!!!!!!
Opera Uses themes? Why? Its for low resource systems that can't easily use graphics.
Actually opera is a good browser. It handles everything just fine. Most of the time better than MS even. But its just to plain Jane for me. I spent money on a graphics card and want to push it as far as I can. Eye candy is the way to go. |

| Opera has crappy customization and the slow issues with firefox are easily solved with the "network tweak" add on. |

What network tweak do you mean?
Install it here
Then restart Firefox and it should appear under "Tools." Click on it.
Say ok to the warning, and click power and then apply and your done. |

You can manually change the values from inside the browser by following these instructions. Works for Netscape/firefox/mozilla.
Found this on another forum:
These tweaks help speed up the browsing of Firefox to some degree. Experiment with the values too, but try the ones listed here first; (I found this posted @ another site)
Open the browser
Type about:config in the address bar and hit the Enter key. Find these options, right click each one and change the default values to the ones listed below.
network.http.max-connections: 48
network.http.max-connections-per-server: 24
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy: 12
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server: 6
network.http.pipelining: true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests: 32
network.http.proxy.pipelining: true
For those of us on an IE based browser (MyIE2,Advant,etc......) You can still use this tweak to speed up your browser!!!! (This is mainly for Win9x platforms, which set the upper limit)
Goto this location in your registry:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
"MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000010
"MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000008
Change the 'MAX CONNECTIONS' on both to 48
If your registry doesn't have an entry just copy the one from here and add it into the correct place. Notice everything is alphabetical. |

I run both and have version 1.5.0.3 and it seems to run just as fast as the last version and the one before it. |

| If you look it should say that Network Tweak is disabled because it's not compatible.Unless the guy finally upgraded it after I uninstalled it because I got tired of looking at a dead extension. |

It seems to be working. Unless it's not really working and it just says it is.
