The West doesn't hate Muslims. Millions of them live among us. Besides the west is full of PC coolchicks who are afraid to speak out against Islamofascism. Those of us who do have a problem with Muslims have a damn good reason.

PS Islamophobia is a myth.

I think it can be attributed to a few things in general here.

One with all the stuff going on in the ME there is a tendancy to be worried and in some cases frightened of muslim people. Given some of the situations post 911 and all some (not all) fears may be justified.

As for hating muslims. I think what some people call hate might be considered ignorance of what true islam really is. What the people I have this same similar question to have said is this. It is the bastards that taken islam and twisted it and perverted it to suit their own needs, and that seems to be what most hate.

Granted most of my friends are business men but they still feel the same way.
Now in my case it might be a little different. I am a bisiness man and I have a private banker at my bank. My banker is muslim and I have known him for a good long time. He and I have always shown respect for each other, and I have tried to be supportive of him in these hard times.

I will also say that if push comes to shove and my other business friends or associates told me I had to choose between good old american christians guys or my muslim friend...... I will choose my muslim friend over them any day of the week.

Helloooo.. ? I personally have done casual work in factories which were stacked to the rafters with Greek immigrant women... and without exception they were all brown-eyed, black-haired females of Hellenic racial characteristic...

I think it might be time cool chick unburdened her no-doubt troubled conscience - and revealed her true identity. I wouldn't ask the same of Muslima, of course. We'll let her remain hidden under that burqa of hers.

What's sad is that people like Hotdog declare that all Muslims treat women poorly, but yet I'm not treated poorly by Muslims here, I'm treated poorly by people like Hotdog.

Not a one Muslim in my life or on this board treated me any less than an equal.

Additionally, I've yet to have a Muslim imply I'm a dumb blonde, or to make degrading "jokes" based on my sex...and to make it even more comical, one that can't even spell correctly.

Maybe people here should rethink these kinds of comments towards women that have been displayed in this thread by some westerners here and this kind of mentality toward women in general on the part of westerners on this board if they're going to try to take the superior attitude that all Westerners treat women better than most Muslims.
