Man, I'm getting tired of seeing the UN in politics and government, albeit it belongs there right now better than anywhere else. Can someone please make the UN it's own subforum or sticky somwhere, that way all of the people waiting to unleash their views upon the UN can do so uninhibited? I think it would go best in International Politics considering it really is just that. If you got a better idea than just ignoring the posters and posts, then I'd like the staff to hear it. Thanks.

To be honest "Political Humor" already seems the perfect place for UN threads

I didn't mean UN supportive threads as my avatar may suggest...You've already proved my point. Nowhere on this forum is there a place where the UN can present it's complex system and multiple blunders as a target. You've got a forum for Gun Control, why can't there be one for/against world peace?

I would go for it, as long as there was sticky for discount UN flags, and a guide the best brand of matches and gasoline.
And maybe some step by step instructions:

1. Buy UN flag, gasoline, and matches
2. Douse UN flag in gasoline
3. Light and drop match

Well, I can see by the lack of serious replies, that most people would rather skirt the issues that the UN faces because it is either not their responsibility, or they betray their feelings/fears by witty jokes (which I love in most situations).

I hate them and want them destroyed. Nothing will change my opinion on the UN.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Why? This illustrates my point. I see many of these posts just venting emotion, with nothing to back them up. With a forum in place, it would give people the opportunity to say why, and in detail, what makes the UN wrong, so that others can be informed, and vice versa. Without it, you just have this^^^^^.

No, I'd be glad to hear them. Conspiracies are just theories based on facts, and untill they are proven true, they can't be taken for anything but a theory. So...that means that his theories are on the level of aliens in Area 51. Robo, for some reason, hasn't yet been diagnosed with a severe case of paranoid UN delusions.

Are there enough U.N. Threads to make for a whole subfourm. Too many subfourms can leave a place feeling dead.

Yes, although many don't start out that way. It's odd because I see so many mentions of the UN in threads that start without ever mentioning it. However, with a new forum, this would be unlikely, because the Moderators, although I doubt can cover every thread, would move a significant number of these to the new subforum.

Do you understand why people feel this way about the UN? They do nothing, give power to little 3rd world dictators and continue to live off the US and attack us verbally every single day. Maybe when they do something that actually helps someone other than themselves(Oil for food) people might give them some respect as for now they do not deserve any, from anyone.

Again, case and point. Get a forum where these issues can be focused on, because, like it or not, the UN is going to play a bigger role as time goes on.

A simple yay or nay in opinions as to whether this is a valid suggestion is all that is needed. Spare the debate for a future time, or utilize one of the other forums that are currently available.

For the record, my vote would be "NAY".

Exactly.

If anyone wishes to debate a sub-forum, then do so. However, your debate shouldn't include your personal feelings toward the UN.

Johannes, do not answer any of the posts like the above posts. Bide your time until an Admin answers you.

At present the answer is no.We don't feel there would be enough interest to warrant creating another forum at this time.
