Using current technology, what kind of a gun would you like to have custom-made for you?
It could be a high-tech gun, or a low-tech, old-fashioned gun that is not in production.
Personally, I would like a stainless steel drilling/synthetic stock with three barrels: 12-Gauge, .30-06 and .22 LR. It would be the one gun that could be used for all hunting in the U.S. with the exception of moose and the big bears. |

| A Thomson Machine Gun. Fully automatic. They've got to be able to make them cheaper new than the $25,000 (or whatever rediculous price) they are now. |

Of course, for half the price you can get one from CMP. Not new, but mine was in really good shape for about $600.

Friend of mine has a revolver that shoots shotgun shells, .45 Colt/410 shotshell, custom made by order only. You can now get an AR type rifle in just about any cal. (.30'06, .458, etc.) with .50 on the horizon, or maybe .50 Beowolf. A 5 shot .44 spl. w/3" bbl.? Already out there. I assume you can get the Mini-gun if you pass the backround check. A full auto Thompson can be had for big $$$$ but probably never in .50. You can get rifle cal. pistols, some revolvers, but mostly single shots. You can also get 12 ga. "derringers", single or 2 bbl.s. I think you can find a 5' bbl. if you want one for your Mauser action or mil-surp. custom made.
Dream bigger, guys. |

| Whatever the weapon was that Wil Smith had in MIB, the Noisy Cricket or something like that. Small and compact with a little knock down power. |

Im having a problem finding a story or picture on it.. but if anyone has seen the History Channels "Tail of the Gun" you have seen the electronic gun nicknamed the "zip gun". The one they showed was a '2x'2 box with sticks of caseless ammo and can fire of the rounds at the speed of light. Each bullet has a charge behind them sparked by an electronic signal... was pretty damn cool.

I don't think it was the speed of light, as we haven't been able to send anything at that speed (besides light itself). It sounds almost like a rail gun, which uses electromagnetic propulsion to fire it's ammunition. The military was experimenting with this because you don't need any kind of gunpowder to propel the round. You can store a lot more ammunition if you don't bother with the part that goes "bang". |
