Hello to you and salam alikum to whom prefers it.

i just saw on the news that there are some clothes products made out of corn or something, honestly i couldn't concentrate in the noise, that is environmental friendly and could decompose easily when thrown out... just wanted to know more about it if anybody here knows more..

If I remember correctly hemp is the strongest natural fibre known to man, and therefore most appropriate for clothing...

Hmm, I don't buy most clothes for strength but for comfort...... I think the softest fibers are best for clothes, not the strongest. Cotton is a pretty damned good fabric. I would imagine hemp would be rougher due to it's high lignin (wood) content than cotton.

I'm actually part of the league of lumberjacks, which is why I prefer strong clothes. Anything that your average kitchen knife can cut through just isn't good enough for me! I like it tough!

I don't think clothing pollution is a major issue in the world....

Ok, do you want tough underwear?

There are a lot of types of clothes. Hemp might be good for jeans or shorts, but I don't think I want hemp underwear or t-shirts. Cotton is close to 100% cellulose, and IMHO, it is a pretty good choice for fabrics.

I prefer 100% natural cotton for all my clothes, but that is, for the most part, all I've ever known.

That said, every article of clothing, shoe-lace, navy ship sail, etc., was hemp-based until cotton and big-liquor bought hateful legislators to declare war on that industry and kill families, as usual.

I've had silk underwear that were softer than cotton, though. But I had a silk shirt that was rougher than wool, once, also.

It depends on what it's treated with -- if treated. Wool is treated, so it feels rough on the skin until it's washed repeatedly. Then, it's very soft, and insulates for warmth even when wet, which cotton isn't.

I like wool allot. Over the years, my late dog, Titan, probably shed enough for several wardrobes, a pile of blankets, and dozens of socks!
