as some of you know, i rent a counterstrike source server.
this server is 33 tic and costs me $44 a month
i have been offered a better deal from someone starting his own company. he comes recommended by a friend and has many good references, includeing the main admin of a semi-popular forum and his ebay account.
the offer is a 66 tic server for $35 a month, and comes with all perks of the server i currently have including support and a free subdomain.
i am quite unsure about this but i cannot ignore how much money i would be saving
i need help in making this decision pls
*tic rate is refresh rate, higher=better |

Being a cheapskate is no valid reason for instituting slow FPS. Everyone will hate you. |

the offer wouldn't have an effect on fps, just the server refresh rate. it would improve. the one i have now is more expensive and has a lower refresh rate |

Show the official offer to your present server and see if they can better what they are giving you now.
In my opinion switching just causes trouble. especialy considering this is a new company. They make a great offer but are they willing to guarantee that proformance for a year? They could ,just like all start ups, over sell they own service and they could start cutting into what you expect out of their service just to put one more on line.
Naver take a "great deal" at face value. Watch for a year and see if they can provide the service to others before you sacrafice your customers on their word. |
