Last night I attended a 24 hour worship service in Harleysville, Pa.
I know it was a Friday night, but the attendance was low, perhaps fifty people while I was there. I thought OK, perhaps it was the church's fault for not advertising the event enough, but this was not the case, as 200 PACKETS of invitations and advertisement for the event were sent to 200 churches in the area.
I wonder how many churches that received the invitations just ignored the information packets, threw them in the trash for fear that they would lose members of their own church flock to another church. The bands were excellent, and the Spirit of the Lord was present.
To those churches who chose to ignore the event- you shame your church and God.
There is no reason that when events such as this take place that the church shouldn't be packed. It's not about you preacher, not about you deacon or you usher. These events are scheduled to honor God and give glory to Him.

Churches are not doing their jobs. Christians are not doing their jobs and Pastors are not doing their jobs when they worry more about losing their flock than praising God.

I would have to say that God is not happy with the evangelism of churches today.
It's time to change the old way of thinking that if you build a building and call it a church, the people will come, cause it isn't happening, and because it isn't happening many are going to hell. It's time to take the evangelism out beyond the walls of the church.
It's time to stop being silent about your faith in Christ and really open up to everyone you meet about him. Otherwise, that person you have a nice friendly fluff n stuff conversation with every day at work is going to hell.

It's time to stop attending churches that believe that the Holy Spirit is not moving in today's churches, that the gifts of the Spirit were only for the apostles and desciples of Christ during his lifetime. He is moving and He is about to shake things up in a big way.
If you are not wanting to embrace the moves of the Spirit, check your doctrine, it's wrong.
God is moving and it's decision time. Are you desperate for Him or not? Either get on board or get out of the way cause Jesus Christ is coming through in power, in love and in ways that are going to change the failing evangelism that we call church.

I can tell you that people just get incredibly annoyed with someone who radomly preaches to them. If they are searching for faith, they will find a Church, it isn't that hard. If they aren't searching for faith, then you are wasting your time and theirs by opening your mouth.
